Given the timeframe, I'd assume it's about team epics for DD.

Will be interesting to see what else they have to say about the launch.

Well that's usually what they mean when they say "content" (aka "Live content") so that's why it's my guess.



Also their Sony Partners on social media were releasing some of the final reward cards (and ratings) for those team epics yesterday on twitter.

Actually Ozzie for the Cardinals is not bad. But even as a Cards fan I feel bad for the Cubs fans, whose team Epic is apparently a pitcher that is not really any better than 2 or 3 of their current live series pitchers.


Actually I was holding off on starting any programs in earnest until we saw the info on Epics. Hopefully after today I can decide what my next step will be.

What people forget is that not all of the team epic rewards in '17 were world-beaters either. I remember lots of golds and maybe even a silver for one of the really weak or easy-to-collect teams (Phillies come to mind, but I'm not 100% sure on that).

Just an opinion, but I feel that they should stand out from the live series players in some manner. Garza does not seem to really stand out. Maybe I am overlooking something.


I think the lowest rated Epic last year was Gwynn at 86 but even he had very good Contact, vision and Speed.

Pitch speeds not changing universally (most people not hitting very well according to their telemetry). Possibility of raising speeds and difficulty on upper levels of ranked seasons later on - it's something they're considering.

Every team epic starts with a redeemable player (like some of the immortal arcs did)

5 Team epic completions count as a bonus 5% toward the immortal arcs (NOT required, it's like the Jackie Robinson Day thing for those who've seen that)

Bobblehead and Autographs will be needed in the Epic Program missions.
2 games vs CPU
Player missions for 3 different players
Team stats to accumulate stats with that teams players.

Sadly, I unfollowed them on Twitch. I know they don't care, but they should heavily consider changing the name of the game next year to MLB Diamond Dynasty 19. It's quite obvious that actual MLB baseball is not their main priority or focus.

Perhaps franchise isn't as robust as we'd like it but the gameplay is great.
