    Franchise - Previous WS Champs?

Is there a way I can look up previous postseasons, most importantly the previous seasons’ WS champs? I’m only 1/3 through my 2019 year but I don’t remember who won last year.

I’m assuming looking at the WS MVP’s team (NYY) via awards will give me that info but I guess there’s also a non-zero chance they could have lost. Postseason MVP was on the Cubs so I’m guessing that was the matchup, but I’m also curious to see the previous playoffs as a whole, if possible.

If the awards section lists the WS MVP, there's your answer.
Oakland A's - Seattle Mariners - Detroit Tigers
Pittsburgh Steelers - Green Bay Packers
    Detroit Red Wings

I'm pretty sure there is a spot where you can see that info. Not at my ps4 right now otherwise I'd check. Going off of this, I really wish the commentators would make mention of team history. For example, if you win the WS with the Mariners they don't even mention that it's their first world series.

Outside of what kenp86 said about viewing World Series MVP, there isn't.

This is an aspect of franchise mode that I'm patiently/impatiently waiting to get some love. I want to be able to view World Series champions going all the way back to the first world series. I want to see the matchups and what the series was (4-2, 4-3, etc...)

I also want to see the postseason history from each year, at least in my franchise seasons. I want to know who made it and who won each matchup.

Currently I do all of this by pen and paper like the good ol days, but man I would love for them to add it to franchise mode one year.
I can't shave with my eyes closed, meaning each day I have to look at myself in the mirror and respect who I see.

I keep those along with the previous playoffs and standings.

I also do my best to keep up with the managers, but its extremely difficult.

Please SDS...if not going to let us view other team's staffs in single team control, please add manager/coach hiring/firings to the transaction screen.

If you do 30 team control you can see who won in the GM Goals section. Otherwise I think your SOL. It is strange the “goal” of franchise mode isn’t documented anywhere.

Yup, along with team records and individual records it seems like such a basic and important thing to be in the game, yet for some reason isn't. For all the talk of expansion, create a stadium and other incredibly large changes that they obviously have no intention of ever doing, there are so many actually implementable features that they really should be adding that would hugely improve franchise

Re: Franchise - Previous WS Champs?

Thanks everyone for all the input. I just did a double check, since it was Neil Walker on the Yankees as WS MVP (I know, right?) and checked their total team WS, which was 28 (and they currently have 27 IRL). Just wish I thought to keep track before; it's pretty frustrating trying to piece the previous year postseason picture together after the fact by looking at the previous season standings and I'll never know what the actual series records were.

One other feature I wish was implemented is individual awards noted via player card. I haven't played Madden in 4-5 years but I remember them having a feature that showed all awards won during your career. It'd be nice to pull up the player card when looking at free agents/trades to see if they won any GG/SS/ROY/batting crown/etc., especially in years 3+ of your franchise when there are more younger players that are new to me and the awards don't show you past those 3 years.

I want awards on player cards as well.

Would also like a screen that shows player milestones (1,000th hit, no hitter thrown, etc...)

With the addition of carryover saves in '14, I thought this type of stuff would be in the game sooner rather than later since players could have their own history carried over year to year.

I'm still playing Madden 12 and the league history information is fantastic. Wish it was in the Show to that level as Countryboy indicated since I have a carryover from 14 I hoped all history would be there.

As far as WS MVP, the O's won my world series last year and David Lough was the MVP hitting 0.350 with no homers and five RBI. This was over Davis and Trumbo who hit 4 and 5 homers each and drove in more runs each. The game selects an MVP for you, not quite sure why they select the guy they do, however!

Once you get into the next season it's rally as if the one before it never happens. Sure there's some player stats but ultimately, no real momentum, no real history.

Yes this. This would make the Show loads more immersive. I feel as if this is something that should be a focus for them down the road. But sadly, I'm sure it'll get neglected again next year.
