Question what are some realistic moves to make in order to improve this team. I was thinking of moving Smoak to DH and Donaldson to 1st. I suppose if I must i could trade Donaldson. Any suggestions? Thinking I'll call up Vlad and Bichet at the end of the season or start of next season. I'm open to advice though.

Bluejays Fans Help
So I finally decided on a team for franchise mode. I am a die hard A's fan but can't use them in franchise because I refuse to move players from my team. My love for Josh Donaldson and the fact they have some great prospects has lead me to Toronto.

Re: Bluejays Fans Help
Two things I'd start looking for is a catcher & <strike>rightfielder </strike>.
EDIT: must've been looking at in-season roster & Grichuk was already gone. Granderson was who I was referring who need be replaced. As for catcher, Martin just needs to be in your mind for his age. No reason he wouldn't work for a year, even 2. I just consider catcher as important as pitching shortstop and centerfield.OSFM23 - Building Better Baseball - OSFM23

Re: Bluejays Fans Help
You don’t actually have to do much. Their pitching is insanely good in this game. All 5 starters are passable. Relief is pretty good and osuna has a gnarly slurve and has been lights out for me.
Grichuk in right field isn’t bad but you also have Pearce who is probably a little overrated in the game. Solarte has been a beast for me and Martin is leading my team in batting average and homeruns through 20 games and they also have a few decent catcher prospects.
The only thing I did was got another utility infielder because you have to expect Travis and tulo are going to miss significant time but to be honest they gave tulo a 79 durability which is ridiculous in my opinion. The jays in the off season were talking about getting josh Harrison from Pittsburgh so I made that happen and dumped Tulo.2016 NLL Champion Saskatchewan Rush

Re: Bluejays Fans Help
I started an OSFM for testing purposes. I made a few jazzy moves for a "win now" mentality. The big one was trading Bichette, Hernadez and Tellez for Bellinger and a younger but less upside CF prospect. I also traded Granderson and a C rated catching prosepect to get Ben Revere back and give the top of my order a legitimate base stealing threat. I then flipped Morales for a B rated SP prospect.
So this is my lineup right now:
LF Revere
RF Grichuk
1B Bellinger
3B Donaldson
DH Smoak
2B Travis
SS Tulowiski
C Martin
CF Pillar
Grichuk his been great for me in spring so far, which is why he is batting 2nd. Pillar will take over leadoff when Revere needs a rest.
I stood pat on pitching. Pitching depth is important to me and Jays have it.
I figure if I am winning I stand pat. Donaldson is pretty much a rental as it is right now, so spending more to go for it all seems foolish. If I am losing, most players are fair game. Donaldson will be first on the block, followed quickly by smokey.
Untouchables: Bellinger, Osuna
Would consider trading if they severely overpaid, but otherwise protected: Stroman, Grichuck, Travis, Barnes, Tepesch.
Would consider trading for the right pieces: Sanchez, Pillar
It would be a firesale on pretty much everyone else. Obviously I'd want a good price for Donaldson and a respectable one for Smokey, but everyone else it would pretty much be any value is good value.Last edited by TheWarmWind; 04-12-2018, 01:36 PM.Comment
