    Stealing Help

I have been having issues with stealing bases. When I press and release the L2 button, my runner does not take off. Is anyone else experiencing issues or is there something I am doing wrong? Please Help!!

I've always preferred to hold down and then release at the very moment I want my base runner to take off. Also, I press L2 a couple of times and that seems to be more effective, single presses don't seem to do the job.

If you just press the button you are queing the runner to steal and he will go based on his ratings. If you hold it down until you feel a vibration, then the runner will go when you release the button.

For whatever reason my runner is not taking off at all. I have never had an issue with past games, but this year, it is not working. I thought maybe my controller wasn't working, but that's not it either. I tried to steal with Amed Rosario and he never took off. On the next pitch I pushed L2, he didn't take off, but the ball was in the dirt and then he started running. He was thrown out by a mile.
