As someone living in a non-MLB market, I often feel that I'm not familiar enough with all the players to make an educated decision as to which player I should target in a Fantasy Draft, on the trade market, etc.
Fortunately, OS is filled with people who have that kind of knowledge, and it has been a tremendous ressource for me, and really helped me learn more about the game. But I still struggle at times to make some choices...and hesitate to ask those questions in the other topics (Trade Discussions, Franchise and Fantasy Franchse threads, etc.) as I feel it may take the discussion away from the intended purposes of those threads.
So I thought I would create a topic specifically for that, in the good old form of a "Who would you rather", the MLB The Show Edition.
Important Note: Lets try to focus on "the game" more so than "real life". Feel free to share your experience with a player, how they progressed, does the player has a wierd swing or pitching motion...or which attributes you think is key for separating them apart for that specific position/role.

So I'll get us started...
Context: I'm currently working on my Big Board for my upcoming Fantasy Draft, and I know I'll probably target a young middle-infielder pretty early, with the expectation that he can come off the bench for at least half a season (if not a full year) before being name a starter in Year 2. So I don't really need him to MLB-ready right now...just hoping to pick the best guy in the long run.
I'm not entirely sure yet, but I think the open spot will be at Short Stop...and I'm kinda torn between three players: Gleyber Torres, Brendan Rodgers and Fernando Tatis Jr.
I'm obviously looking for the best player, but should I have to decide, I would probably take Contact over Power, and overall Defense over Pure Speed. Also, I'm gonna be playing with the Red Sox, so...yeah, Fenway.
