    Lack of home runs

Any else feel that way? Im playing with the human power sliders at 5(pure analog-all star hitting). However i find if i put it up one to 6 then i hit TOO MANY homers. Am i the only one??

    Re: Lack of home runs

Whether you have an issue hitting HRs depends on many factors so I would not agree with any sweeping conclusion... but I could see how two adjacent values of Power slider causes quite a bit of change in HR production...

For example, in my CPU vs. CPU test games with Power at default (5), HRs are a bit on an anemic side (about 0.93 HRs per game) but with Power 6, it becomes right around last year's MLB average (1.26) which I believe is the most HR-happy season ever in the MLB history. I think Power slider is a little to coarse... we want a little more granularity in ticks.

I think you could still try adjusting some slider other than Power to make hitting harder/easier, so that hitting HR becomes harder/easier. Which slider to use depends on what other issue(s) you might have that you want to correct along with HR power.

I have two different franchises that I'm playing with, a Braves and Brewers franchise and I have the same sliders on both. With the Brewers franchise I have no issues hitting homeruns, but it's not an excessive number. With the Braves one I'm like 13 games in and have hit just 4 homeruns. Everything I seem to hit with the Braves is a ground ball or line drive with no carry to it. I can't hit a high deep fly ball to save my life. Everytime I manage to hit a fly ball it's a pop up.

No, seems like the majority of my offense comes from HRs. Usually hit at least 2 per game, but often more (All Star, default power).

Doing a franchise fantasy draft and my team is a bit stacked so that helps. Harper is leading the league for me in the HR department.

Not a lot of guys with a ton of power on the Braves, so that may be half of your issue.

The hitting sliders tend to work in tandem, so if you want something between 5 and 6, try lowering the solid hits at the same time as power, or just move solid hits up one instead. Try lowering timing or contact and increasing power.

Hitting interface is a HUGE factor. I'm not seeing the same issues you are but I'm on directional with buttons, so what I'm basically saying is that my input on the topic is useless. It also is possible your team is on a cold streak. How many games had this trend gone on for?

That was going to be my question as to how long this has happened.

I just finished a stretch of games where for 4 or 5 games my Cardinals only hit 1 homerun. Last two games we've hit 5...3 in one game and 2 in the last.
I can't shave with my eyes closed, meaning each day I have to look at myself in the mirror and respect who I see.

I miss the old days of Operation Sports :(

Yeah i guess its more streaky than anything. Just have been having a lot of high scoring games(9-8, 12-10 types) and pitchers eras are uo there!

This game can be so freaking annoying sometimes!! Just venting some frustration at getting swept by the Cubs and not being able to get any hits and seeing Anthony Rizzo hit doubles and walk off homeruns right down the 3rd base line despite me pitching him inside and trying to get him to hit it into the shift. So annoyed with not being able to even hit doubles with my Braves. Ball just will not carry.

I still swear by (& preach to) dynamic hitting for absolutely everyone who hasn't already mastered hitting on legend. Also, turn the Dynamic slider to 10. If you are good enough to hit on all-star or HoF, it wont take long to get there on dynamic.

Apparently I'm not good enough to hit on All-Star. I was doing fine and realistically and then it got to like All-Star plus and then I couldn't buy a hit. Good or perfect timing and contact and still couldn't get any hits. So frustrating.

And after a short while of struggling it bumps you back down. Keeps you from going all '98 Yankees on the rest of the league. I don't mind the slumps, esp. when you break out of them in a big way. I just had a game where I struck out a dozen times. The next pitcher I face is going to pay for that. Hell hath no fury like a hitter scorned lol
