When I hit a no doubter Judge always puts the bat between his legs and acts like he's spanking and riding a horse.


I'm so mad they even spent a second on all these HR celebrations.


Is it something we can change?

I've changed them in my franchise (through manage roster -> edit player). I'd imagine you can do it in the main menu rosters as well.

I've never even seen this celebration. Which style number is it? I'm scrolling through all of them in Edit player and can't find it, or anything that looks remotely similar.

And don't tell me to just go hit a No-doubt HR with Judge....that doesn't make it happen for me. I did, and it's just his normal one - follow through, drop the bat uneventfully, and start jogging.

One more possibility for OP...were you, by any chance, doing a play now with the live daily rosters? Because there's been all sorts of weirdness being reported recently with those like legends on the current day teams, etc. Wouldn't surprise me if home run celebrations got messed up too.

for my RttS player his HR celebration circling the bases is always different. Never the one I chose when I set up his HR celebration.

I personally think it's ridiculous they put all these new no doubt celebrations in the game but did them all for only right handed batters. Lefties get nothing.

there are different animations for two handed and one handed follow throughs, so maybe you haven't checked both?

I was in my franchise and went to Judge's HR celebration animation and it just shows like option 4 or something like that. Where he drops his bat and points up. He doesn't have one of the ridiculous ones as his celebration. At least in the menu, but the game triggers it "in-game"

No clue why it triggered for OP on Judge. Maybe a weird bug or, like I said, possibly the daily roster screwiness. It's obviously unintended behavior.

As far as incorrect HR celebrations playing I can't say that happens to me either . My RTTS guy isn't a power hitter so I can't say much either way there, but in DD I always get the celebration I chose with my CaP.

I was playing in my franchise. I use OSFM 1.5 rosters... Animation has happened maybe 4-5 times.


I hit no doubters with Stanton and Gary. Only seems to happen with Judge so maybe it is because he is the cover athlete sort of situation...?

There's no way that animation is intended. If it's not playing the animation in-game that it's showing for Judge in the front end, it's a bug, plain and simple.

My question now is whether it's only happening with OSFM. Or if some other people using OSFM aren't having it happen to them (FWIW, I don't use OSFM)

So, Judge's default swing on SCEA's rosters is a 2 handed swing, and the default HR celebration is the normal one I described. If you change it to 1 handed....the default becomes that horse-riding one.

I don't know what Judge's swing is IRL, but if a roster maker changed it to 1H, it looks like they will get that ridiculous celebration if they don't go down and change his celebration afterward.

The bug is that goofy HR celebration being on Default, but it should theoretically never come up if Judge's swing stays on his default 2-handed. That's why I wasn't seeing it.

Thanks guys, that helps a lot and if no one else did I'll put this on the tracker myself - should be an easy thing to get fixed.

Edit: This seems to affect other players as well if you change them off of their default swings. You'll get some of the wild celebrations in the "Default" Position.

I wouldn't blame yourself since no one could have predicted that this would be the case. You can change his celebration, but there's nothing close to his simple "head down, start jogging" that he does normally (most of the selectable ones involve a bat flip at the very least). You may want to put him back to 2H until this can get fixed - that way you'll get his normal one, unless the 2H swing bothers you that much.

Here's an example of this happening btw, if anyone wants to see it. Don't even have to go in-game to see the bug. As you can see, it doesn't happen when he stays on 2H, either because it's the default one OR if I use one of the selectable 2H's. Only when I make him 1H.
