You do realize that most of the bigger guys come into SDS and mocap their swings, so if you have a problem with how those turned out talk to the player cause that's how they recorded it.

And there is a home/away option on batting gloves and cleats. If your using team colors, they will change based on what uniform you wear as the main colors change. Would be nice to see this in the edit screen but regardless it is an option. Or at least it was, haven't dabbled in it this year.

And quite honestly If this is all you have to be this upset about then it shows they've built a great game.

Only the cover athlete comes in and mo caps each year. There has been ZERO video or evidence that any other player(s) have come in during the game's development. Even if that wasnt the case you think guys would come in and take a DRASTICALLY different swing than they do in real life? Nah dog.

Also Im talking about white/grey home/away colors. Many players wear the same team colors every game, but swap the white or grey based on if they are at home and on the road. This is probably the simplest thing they could add. Make a team color 4 and its tied to the color pants the team is wearing. Im willing to bet it would have taken them less time to put that in than the time they spent on the bat flips.

Except they havent skinned the cat correctly. Stance and strides are still awful for the most part. Pitching animations are even worse. They havent cared to get equipment right in at least 4 years. Franchise logic has never been correct. At this point it has nothing to do with manpower, its knowledge and desire to get it right that is absent.

First, shenanigans. Second, has none of these things has anything to do with game mechanics, which is what I specifically mentioned. Move on.

They're not short on ideas, those are a dime a dozen. What they're short on is manpower & other resources.

Yep. Tale as old as time.

Not just manpower, the yearly dev cycle is just as big a problem.

Games like GTA, or Red Dead get to spend YEARS in development and won't release until they're finished. Madden, 2k and MLBTS are boxed in by their licensing agreements and yearly releases.

It leads to a revolving door of gameplay issues and game modes which, more often than not, come up short.

I personally think that from what I have seen this year compared to 17 is , I think that they are doing a major overhaul on something for next year and they needed every second of their time to tend to it. The reason I say this is last year they worked on patches until late in the season and this year they threw out a couple of patches really fast and seemed to disappear. I do expect one more patch as they said they were looking at a few problems but I think they kind of played it safe this year to get right on to 19. Patch wise I think this year is the fewest I can remember them doing, maybe not the number of patches but several of the patches out this year really didn't change much.

I really wouldn't be surprised if there weren't at least 3 more patches to come, by September.
I don't have anything specifically that requires attention, but still, 3 sounds about right.

Typical business in America.

They know the game will make $XXX,XXX,XXX.. sports games are the definition of a built-in audience.. they build their budget accordingly. Whatever they bring in over $XXX is the cherry on the sundae.

My hope is, someday, the gaming industry becomes what Hollywood is, with the occasional little guy that strikes gold. But that is a LONG way off, from the looks of things.

In 19, I’d like to see a minor overhaul with the caps/archetype system. This sounds immature, but if I want to make a 5-tool player, I feel like I should.

It’s called Road to the Show, not Road to Being a Decent Player.
