Is something up with pitcher stamina?

Picking up the game for the time in a couple weeks. I'm in the 4th inning on 56 pitches with Garrit Cole. His stamina tight now dark orange (ie neither completely drained). Seems like something must be off?

    This is in play now.

Raise SP stamina to 6 and it's more realistic imo.

No issues here. SP's are pitching what I would consider realistic pitch counts and innings.

      Carryover franchise for reference.

The A's starter went an inning or two longer and about 30 more pitches. What I would consider normal. My relievers seemed fine too. I checked and Cole's an 88 in stamina. Real weird.

Almost sounds like a glitch or something in that play now game.

I wouldn't be surprised. I've seen way worse in terms of glitches in play now.

Ive seen this suggested more than once recently. Does it really make that much of a difference?

I play with SP stamina at 7 and still had a starter with 70 (75?) stamina run out of energy at 85 pitches. If I was playing on default I suspect he would’ve been gassed at 75 or even 70 pitches.
                Just one man’s opinion.
I don’t actually care about any of this.

Seeing the same thing in another play now game. My starter is getting close to done at 43 pitches. The opposing starter is fine despite throwing around 70.

What pitching mechanic are you using?

If meter are you throwing max effort pitches each time?(meter in red)

This will wear a pitcher down quicker than normal

Pulse. Never had this issue in any mode before now.

I'm letting my starter keep going even though his energy is at zero. It doesn't seem like it's actually affecting his performance, so it might just be a visual bug?

                        Could be

I’m not sure as I haven’t experienced this issue yet

Weird. I normally bump stamina up to 7, but I actually lowered it down to 6 this year because some of my starters were still in green approaching 100 pitches. Meter pitching, rarely max out, but I pound the strike zone. Maybe I should raise CPU fouls a tick to compensate.

I was throwing a no hitter last night on pulse through 6 2/3 and my guy was in the yellow around 70-75
... I figured it was just a dev team tweak to make you use the pen
