    Slide Step Overpowered?

Seems like everytime the AI uses the slide step when I’m stealing, I’m thrown out by a mile, even with a speed demon like Dyson (pretty much maxed in stealing). I know it should definitely make a difference, but should it really be that strong?

Also I know it’s been like this forever, but it seems like the AI uses the pitch out way too much. Wish there was a "pitch out" slider, similar to the pick off slider...

It's incredibly effective. I kinda don't use it because it's almost assuredly an out.

An attribute for pitchers for how well they use it, and how often would be great. It's not something every pitcher uses regularly because it is really tough to master, yet the CPU uses it practically every single appropriate situation.

Yeah, it’s definitely annoying how the AI seems to exploit it. I feel like stealing is hard enough already with the AI constantly pitching out and trying to pick me off when I have a fast runner on. It just seems silly that a guy like Dyson should get thrown out by a mile just because of a slide step, especially when I’ve bumped up the slider for Baserunner Steal Ability by 2 notches.

CPU pitchers are overpowered in general when it comes to controlling the running game. The best way I've found to avoid psychic pickoff throws (and perfect on top of it) and slide steps is to run when the batter is ahead in the count. Not always effective, but it does help. A pickoff attribute for pitchers would be nice but I've given up hope on ever seeing that.

I’ve virtually given up on stealing entirely. You can only be out by a mile so many times. Granted I have a pretty slow team, but honestly, when I move runners I’m about 95% hit-and-run and 5% straight steal at this point. Been meaning to check my steal stats but if I had to guess I’m less than 40% successful team-wide.

I don’t actually care about any of this.

            Pitchers have a pickoff rating.

It's hidden. However, if you see a pitcher with "Pickoff Artist" as a perk, then his hidden rating is definitely on the high side.
