What? So the game has different engines based on different modes?

I don't know about different engines, but they can definitely have different tuning. There was a test in Battle Royale several weeks back (just before the 1.08 patch) where they increased pitch speed and decreased PCI size for ONLY that one mode (and the difference was noted by those who played Ranked seasons). Then with 1.08, they extended those changes to the rest of the online modes. So, not only can they tune it for online vs. offline, but even set it differently for seperate online modes.

Hey guys, since Gleyber Torres was add in the game, when I'm playing with Yankees he never shows in lineup

It's always Ronald Torreyes as 2B..

Anyone having this problem? 2 weeks and nothing

If I play with Atlanta Braves, Acuña Jr is in the lineup regularly

well first basemen will still get locked in a jog and run past the bag or the runner. Just had it cost me a game.

I don't mean for this to sound like I'm being a smartass because I'm generally curious.

When this happens will it not let you move the L-stick to break the animation?? I'm guessing not as it sounds like the issue where infielders would be locked into fielding animation instead of charging the ball.

Just curious as thankfully I haven't experienced this bug/glitch/issue yet.

I can say I did see this issue a few times before the first big gameplay patch after the game's release (I forget which one that was). Have been fortunate to not see it since and I assumed it was fixed.

Not gonna download the patch currently. I figure that I already think that the fielders react well enough. Not looking to have more perfect dp's and whatnot.

I can still sac bunt fine after the patch. As long as I don't square before the pitch and make the 1B side step off of 1st instead of charging on first movement, the bunt works fine and the CPU will go to first or just tag the batter out on his way to first. It's still a window that the human player can exploit when defending by throwing to 2nd, but the CPU won't do it.

And I can back this up with video.

bcruise, what has been your experience with the changes to the infielders post patch? I know its early, but anything significantly different?

If he means the one where the 1B will field the ball and then just run off toward the dugout, then nope. Pausing, buttons, nothing until the play is over.

They do, and I believe they said as much in one of the older streams. For example, pitcher fatigue in a DD Offline Vs. CPU game is not the same as pitcher fatigue in a DD Online Vs. Player game.

Then I wish they would put the "online focused" tweaks for the online modes only then.

I see it probably every 5 games or so. But I'll get a ground ball to my first baseman, I'll press o to run and step on the bag, but my fielder will just stay locked in this jogging animation and run in a straight line past the bag until the play is over. I got lucky once and the base runner conveniently ran into me as I ran across the foul line and got the tag out. They field the ball fine, it's just the transition into tagging the base where the issue occurs.

I'm wondering if it's just a problem with auto fielding instead of manual? But then I use manual throwing, so I don't know.

This is the one that cost me my perfect game. It doesn’t happen often but it does still happen (at least pre 1.09, no idea if it got fixed with this patch).

And when it locks in, there’s nothing you can do.

Yeah I use manual fielding so maybe it is an auto field only issue??? Or maybe I've just been lucky thus far.

that just happened to me like 30min ago with new patch. And I'm on manual fielding.

Didn't know it was a bug, thought it was my error !!
