    Bug with bullpen/ Quick Manage

So tonight while playing a franchise game I pinch hit for Ivan Nova in the B8. The following inning when I went to replace him I was greeted with the "You have a position player on the mound". It would not let me put a pitcher in. I'd select Rivero(Vazquez) or Crick and it would only allow me to "Ready and Waiting" or "Sit Down". Because I didn't want to throw a pitch with Moran, I went into Quick Manage and replaced him with Rivero as that was the only thing I could think of on the fly. Come to find out after doing this the game recorded no stats before that moment. Everyone is 0 for 0 in the box score on my team, and only the Padres batters I faced with Rivero have any action. So I lost a full game basically. No recorded stats in the stats screen after the game, or the box score.

I enter all my stats on an excel sheet post game and when I went to enter I was like what the heck.

    1. How do you work around the bullpen thing so I don't lose stats, now it's as if my team is playing one less game and the Padres are playing one less game because of this.

    2. Anyone have ideas for getting those stats back? I'll take any suggestions, already saved and reloaded.

I've never had this happen, but, and it's too late now, you could have just exited the game (closed the application) and start the game again.

I was in the bottom of the eighth, if it was earlier I may have but i had already sunk 35 or 40 minutes in, for now it looks like i need to track everything pitch by pitch so I don't lose anything.

I had the same thing happen to me in a game two nights ago. I pinch hit Domingo Santana for Hader, then went to put Knebel in to pitch the bottom of the 9th. It wouldn't let me put anyone else in, so I had to pitch to a batter. Once the out was recorded, I was able to put Knebel in.

It's petty but now I'm a little bothered that my stats will have Santana pitching 0.1 innings.

I’ve been having this same problem constantly. It’s really annoying and it seems no one cares about it either.

I experienced it last year as well. Not sure how these things get past devs sometimes. I know they test the game. Not sure how it gets past.

Man that sucks. That would drive me crazy. I dont know a way to get those particular stats back unfortunately.

While it won't work this time, and would be a bit of a headache next time, if it happens again, I've done these before:

              1) go to the Replay Vault and choose All, then note each play as it occurred then compile stats. Unfortunately this will not get pitch counts, etc. But you can check the scoreboard for the Hitters Count...

              Or

              2) Press the Share button to bring up the Display Menu, then push Square to Save Video Clip. Then you can go to the Capture Gallery on your PS4 and watch the last hour of gameplay. (You need to make sure your Length of Video Clip is set to 60 minutes before you do this.) Then you would need to basically forward through this movie and take notes/keep score, then compile stats. You would have everything you need up to an hour.

I personally have not relied on the game to keep stats in several years, not only because of things like this, but because the game scores things incorrectly fairly often. So I keep my own score and very detailed stats as I play the game, and it's sortable and accurate and fully detailed. And im so used to it i can still play a game in the same length of time as if I didn't keep score. So this would be the one I recommend, but a lot of people wouldn't want to do this. I love it. (I have messed up keeping score before however and had to use one of the above methods to fix it).
