Sliding vs. diving to catch a ball
Last night on a fairly routine pop fly, I pressed R2 to perform a sliding catch with my OF (as the ball was just a little outside of his happy zone).
But nope! Blackmon went full superman, missed the catch and got hit in the head by the ball (he's out 1-2 weeks). What is it that determines the type of slide/dive that a fielder will perform to catch a ball? I want to say it's a sensitive way of tapping the button in which you use to make your players dive. Because you can rearrange the buttons. I play using the Braves. Heyward & Inciarte make some diving gems controlled by me the user. Also love how you can get injured by using the dive button. Try tapping lightly, plus point in the direction of the ball.
