    online or offline?

Was wondering if you guys play this more online h2h or offline vs cpu? For me baseball games are just not so good online you cant play a fair game cause must people just pitch balls or just dont play baseball the right way how baseball should be.

I am strictly an offline player.
I can't shave with my eyes closed, meaning each day I have to look at myself in the mirror and respect who I see.

I miss the old days of Operation Sports :(

I am offline MLB The Show gamer playing numerous RTTS players as well as playing an offline MoM Franchise. Now I hope SDS never turfs offline game play (or they better at least have the decency to tell us ahead of time if they ever do turf it), but some games have already started to turf offline game play. I just heard that the up and coming new Call of Duty Black Ops game will only be playable online. Historically I have been a huge CoD fan. But if the new Black Ops game is anything like the World War II game released a year or so ago, it will be no love lost as that game was crap compared to all the CoD predecessors.

        Both.

As for people throwing too many balls....I don't swing. If they're throwing a lot of balls that are just out of the strikezone and I have to risk swinging at them and miss, then they're just pitching well - I see nothing wrong with that sort of gameplay.

That's the same way I pitch (or try to pitch) on Legend vs the CPU. If I don't, I get slaughtered.

Offline all the way. Even if you could remove the horror of facing anonymous people on the internet, there is still the spectre that is lag that keeps me away. I can stand some amounts of lag for some types of games, but for sports games I find it untenable.

Offline only here too. Internet is bad here. It is bad enough that the servers and internet change how diamond dynasty plays against the computer....let alone real people where it's a lot worse.

Even when i was young I never really liked playing baseball against my friends who were on the couch with me. It just seemed a little off some how. Not like the real game. It felt cheapened in some way.

Offline only, franchise VS the CPU. The last time I played a game online was 2005, with Madden and NCAA.

I used to play online with my friends. We would all play straight games with no BS. Not many of them have picked up the current versions of the game so I have gone to mainly offline. I just got tired of playing randoms online. Sometimes you could have a really good game, but it was mostly just people exploiting issues to win at all costs.

I completely agree with this. Something just never feels right about it. In fact, even when i was a kid growing up, if i played with against my friends we played Diamond Mind, Stratomatic, or Pro Football Fantasm.

Offline, don't think I have ever played a online game in my life.

If this was to go to online only I would walk away no problem just like any game, something will always come and fill a void.
