Offline only. I don't think it's possible to get a true sim experience online and even if so I wouldn't be interested.

Re: online or offline?
All I need to do is look at the leader board on line where some joker has a record of 614-36 to realize that online is not my cup of tea.Last edited by KnightTemplar; 05-22-2018, 11:36 AM.Comment

Re: online or offline?
I play online less and less on all games tbh as I just find other players insufferable most of the time. My tolerance for BS has died as I've gotten older.
In the past I played CoD a ton and was a pretty good player, if I spotted someone trying to do something shady or just unsportsmanlike I'd make it my mission to just repeatedly hunt them down and kill them all game and I enjoyed that. But now I just find it annoying, I can play 5 decent games against decent people, but the 6th against someone trying to exploit everything they can just puts me in a bad mood for longer than it should and ruins the whole thing. It's just not worth wading through the *** to get to the good for me anymore.
I also feel that online gaming has just in general, gotten worse. Not sure how that's true but it does seem to be the case to me. Too many gimmicks and not enough emphasis on the most important thing, solid, balanced gameplayComment

Re: online or offline?
Edited to add: I lie, I have an iRacing account and while I am not all that active these days racing online, it is more like iPractice, iRacing is a good online service for sim racing since all the members are paying for the service and people behave different when they are paying real money to get their sim racing fixes versus the wreckers who roam the free services.Last edited by My993C2; 05-22-2018, 10:54 AM.Comment

Re: online or offline?
I haven't had real broadband in my home in many years - throughout the entire lifespans of the PS3 and PS4. I will get it when my new house is built this summer, and I'll use it to go online with my systems and do game updates and download DLC, and possibly purchase and download games via online instead of a physical disc, but I'm unsure that I'll ever actually play a competitive game online. If I do, its very unlikely they it will be a sports title. More likely a RPG.Anyone who claims to be a fan of two teams in the same pro sport is actually a fan of none.Comment

Re: online or offline?
I would estimate that the past three years of The Show for me have been 85% offline Franchise and 15% Conquest. Hearing about exploiters on this game and how abusive people can be on FPS titles have made me realize that online gamers are sleazy bags of garbage (not you guys, just everybody else). I never even really messed much with DD until Conquest was introduced, and the prospect of not having to play cheesers was quite welcome. I'm perfectly fine with playing against ones and zeroes. When the Giants come to town, it's Bye Bye Baby...Comment
