The Show & Remote Play?
Anyone ever try playing The Show via Remote Play? Was thinking about picking up the app so I could play on my iPad when the TV is in use, but I’m wondering if it would be too laggy? The R-Play app has great reviews, but it is $12, so I don’t want to waste money if there’ll be too much lag for The Show.

Re: The Show & Remote Play?
I don't know about the experience on Ipad, but I tried it on Windows PC when it first came out and it was very playable. However, I was playing over a wired connection.

Right on. I should probably test it on my PC too. The one thing that does worry me about the ipad app is it will be wireless. I’m also used to playing with my controller plugged in for the least amount of lag too, so I won’t be able to do that either.
Worst case scenario, I’ll still be able to play in manager mode or quick manage if it’s too laggy otherwise.Comment

Re: The Show & Remote Play?
I have fiber and 1000Mb connection (forget the upload speed, which matters... 600Mb or something, whatever it is it's strong), hardwired. Basically, good as it gets. Windows 10 PC. Oh, and a PS4 Pro.
Smooth and awesome as it is and may be for some games, I couldn't justify playing a baseball game on it. Only remote play I can do is on my Vita. Better response time.Last edited by Blzer; 05-20-2018, 08:19 PM.Samsung PN60F8500 PDP / Anthem MRX 720 / Klipsch RC-62 II / Klipsch RF-82 II (x2) / Insignia NS-B2111 (x2) / SVS PC13-Ultra / SVS SB-2000 / Sony MDR-7506 Professional / Audio-Technica ATH-R70x / Sony PS3 & PS4 / DirecTV HR44-500 / DarbeeVision DVP-5000 / Panamax M5400-PM / Elgato HD60Comment

Re: The Show & Remote Play?
While my internet connection is pretty solid as well, I would only be doing this on my local network, so all that really matters is my wifi, which is 5ghz.
Like I said, worst case I can at least manage some games. Seems like Classic Pitching would be ideal for this as well since there's no timing involved, so I could also finally work on my SP in RTTS, even though I normally use Pure Analog.
I'll pull the trigger and report back.Comment

Re: The Show & Remote Play?
Took the plunge and it’s smooth so far, even better than anticipated. No problems with nailing the analog pitching meter and hitting seems fine as well. Pretty cool to be able to play across the house when the wifey wants the TV. Definitely worth the price of the app (it’s called R-Play in the app store in case anyone else is interested).Comment

Re: The Show & Remote Play?
It’s pretty good. Cant’t recall the exact model atm, but it’s an LG 1080p. I have all my gaming inputs set to PC mode.
I usually stream a lot of PC games to my iPad via Nvidia Gamestream (and a free app called Moonlight), and it’s not quite this smooth, so kudos to Sony and the R-Play app devs.
Streaming 1080p @ 60fps atm.Comment

Re: The Show & Remote Play?
Just noticed the app has a connection quality test. Looks like average latency is 1ms with max being 5ms...that’s really freakin’ good!
Never thought it would be possible to stream a baseball game, in full form at least, but it appears...
