Elaborate? Straight change circle palmball or vulcan? Online? Offline? Difficulty?
I only play offline on Dynamic difficulty with fastball speed slider at 6 and offspeed slider at 4. If I had a bread & butter pitch, the straight change might just be that pitch, I love to drop one low & away out of the strike zone. Like taking candy from a baby. My favourite combo is either a 4-seamer high followed by the change low & away or sinker & slider. Of course all this could be moot if we're talking online. I can't speak intelligently on that aspect.

I'd bet the majority of homers I give up are changes, for sure. However said pitch is money when used properly.

Absolutely NOT worthless. Change ups can be very very effective, even deadly to opposing hitters........if they are properly set up.

DON'T throw a change up over the heart of the plate on an 0-2 count. Same thing with 1-2. Hitters will be in protect the plate mode.....

If you have good location with the change up, it is ok to throw it off the plate/in the dirt on an 0-2 count, to see if you can get a cheap swing and miss.

I have found the most effective times to use a change up is after a hard hit foul ball, or after a swing and miss on a heater.

Again, if you have good location, you can throw a change up on a 2-0 or 3-1 count, when the hitter is looking fastball.

            In what way???

If you’re seeking community help/feedback you’re going to have to elaborate more as to what is “useless “ about changeups

I can't shave with my eyes closed, meaning each day I have to look at myself in the mirror and respect who I see.

I miss the old days of Operation Sports :(

That’s right...just bring the gas, the high cheese, the flamer....don’t throw that slow stuff up there....it’s for losers like Greg Maddox and Jamie Moyer....bring the heat like Clemens and Dwight Gooden...
