forgive me if this has been answered..new to MLBTS.

how can i go about making sure the computer does not alter my lines or rotation or call ups using a 30 team set up??

I want to be able to control those things yet simulate the games MY teams aren't playing...can anyone walk me through??

I know how to set up a 30 team set up just want to keep the computer 's teams OUT.

    thanks for your time
    I am the way
    I am the light
I am the dark inside the night.
    I hear your hopes
    I feel your dreams
And in the dark I hear your screams
Don't turn away, Just take my hand
I'll never leave, All I ask of you, Is Believe.

I'm not sure if things have changed in 18, but in 17, I have my team's profile set to manual for just about everything except training and scouting. The CPU is set for auto for lineups, 40 man (which I change at the off season) and manual for trades (so the game doesn't trade at all unless I do it). If a CPU player gets injured, it decides what to do with the replacements, call ups etc. If a player on my team gets hurt, I decide if I put him on the DL or on the bench. If I am asked and I 'auto-fix' lineups, then the CPU will make changes and sometimes not just putting the replacement player into the slot of the injured player. Otherwise, the CPU does not make any adjustments to my lineup in the main screens. They DO make adjustments to the batting order in sim games...I don't know that there is anything to be done about that. For example, I lead off Gardner, and Ellsbury bats third usually. However, in simmed games, I have seen it go Gardner/Ellsbury back to back, or Chase Headley leading off. When I come back to the lineup screens they are still in the correct order I left them. So I consider that to be 'game time decisions' by the manager when simming the game. The game will make changes too if you are in spring training and you roll over to regular season with 40 men still on your active roster. It will then waive players and send down players it sees fit to get you to 25. I usually send down/pass through waivers the guys I want in the minors a few days before the end of spring training to avoid this issue. Hope this helps.
