Fielders not throwing

I have seen this happen a couple of times but last night it happened 4 times in one inning. I have throwing set to buttons and sometimes when pressing the button the fielder will make a slow throwing motion but still hold on to the ball. I had throw cancelling on but wasn't pressing twice or anything. I hold the button until it rumbles, is this the correct way to do it?
I've turned throw cancelling off to see if it fixes the problem but haven't had a chance to test it yet.

Hmmmm...I play with the buttons for throwing but I have vibration turned off so I can't speak to the rumble as being the correct time to release.

It sounds as though for some reason the game is registering that you are cancelling the throw. I'll be curious to see if it happens when you have throw cancelling off, although you shouldn't have to do that because that puts you at a disadvantage.

What throwing feedback do you have, Buttons or Button Accuracy? Do you have the meter on?

Thanks, it's just set to buttons with no meter.

I wasn't doing anything differently than normal last night, but couldn't make a single throw so I restarted the game and played a couple of innings and it was fine.

This one has happened to me about 4-5 times since release I believe, but all in RTTS, and with Analog Throwing (the interface I use in all modes). It only cost me one of those times when an attempted throw home from LF to cut down a runner didn't fire - the other times I either saw the misfire early and made the throw input again, or the runner held at 3rd.

It is, as the OP says, not a throw cancel - while I do turn that option on, throw canceling doesn't immediately bring you to the throw ready state - it actually pump fakes the throw and then goes to throw ready. When what the OP is describing happens, it goes right to throw ready as if you never input a throw decision.

I do believe it to be a bug.

Twice last night I received the ball right next to second base which should've been a step on the base then throw to first for an easy double play however pressing triangle resulted in nothing happening so no outs and an error. I held the button down but nothing.

I'm on auto fielding in franchise by the way.

From now on I'm going to try tapping the button multiple times because nothing else seems to work reliably and if it happens again I'm gonna have to switch to auto throwing.
