    Too Many Errors!

Okay, I’m not sure if this thread was posted already, so I apologize if it was duplicated.

But anyways....errors occur too much in this game. I’m doing a franchise with the Cubs and I’m getting constant errors with Kris Bryant and a few others. Very rarely does Bryant make errors in real life, so the fact that this happens is ridiculous.

So...after awhile, I modified the errors in the sliders, turned them down a bit - almost all the way down - and it seemed as though I got them more often after that. How the hell does that make sense. And no, it’s not because I suck or anything haha, I’ve been playing The Show for years, so I doubt that’s it.

    Re: Too Many Errors!

My experience has been that errors have been well balanced. I’ve had games where there are no errors, games where there are 1 or 2 and a game or so where I’ve had 4 errors (I think that’s the most I’ve seen by one team)

For what it’s worth I play on default legend fielding with buttons for throwing mechanic.

fielding is good for me but I use auto & not assisted so maybe thats why.
I do wish there was a dynamic difficulty that would shuttle me back and forth between difficulties
depending on how well or poorly I'm playing. that's about the biggest upgrade to fielding I personally desire.

I actually think fielding is great this year, and errors are very well balanced.

In years past, there weren't enough errors.

Also, Kris Bryant does commit quite a few errors at third. He's had a below league average fielding percentage at 3B for a few years now.

I agree with countryboy and cyloniac, errors seem just about right and I'm on Legend/Legend/Legend (the throw option in fielding) with default sliders.

I'll add, that this was my first year not using auto fielding and I had to get used to some of the weird occurrences this game throws at you. It took some time to master.

I also agree with claulfield that auto fielding yields good results.

I've had more glitches than I've had errors. Fielding just isn't polished completely but I have seen some people who have had insane amounts of errors.

I’m also happy with the amount of errors, especially after they were basically non-existent in 17 (IF throwing errors from the CPU at least).

My experience with fielding this year has been the best that I've had with this series. For me, it is fluid, responsive, "natural", and feels well balanced between gold glovers and average fielders.

This is a huge difference from MLB 17. Not so much from the errors perspective, but average defenders (especially infielders) are noticeably more deliberate and don't make the flashy plays that any fielder could pull off in last year's game.

I've been seeing the wall-suck animation a lot more in the outfield now than when the game came out, though I have yet to correlate it to the fielder's rating when it happens. I suspect it is related. Average or below fielders are more likely to trigger into the animation, good defenders or above are more likely to trigger into a stop-short/pivot and throw animation of some sort.

Otherwise, errors do seem more balanced to me this year.

Perhaps I’m just looking too much into it. I mean, I guess I don’t get a ton of errors to the point where it’s completely unreal. Thanks for the feedback.

That's true but I've had some pretty embarrassing glitches like guys not even trying to field a ball or when you get them under a easy fly ball, they just stand there and don't catch it. And those were with some pretty top notch fielders too.

I’ve yet to have a fielder not try to field a ball or stand and not catch a routine fly ball.

Any chance you could post a video next time it happens?
