SDS need to inverst in "Motion Matching" for Anims

Watching E3 and seeing the new tech that The Last of US Part II is using for it's melee and running. I started looking into the back story and reading about what they did compared to other studios who have used motion matching i.e. EA with "UFC" and UbiSoft with "For Honor" these titles pale in comparison to what was showcased by Naughty Dog. They talked about how the took those methods and tweaked to reduce the latency and added some of their own in house sauce to make it better. In the past Sony in house studios normally share tech, I think they should jump on this tech immediately.

Here is a dev from "For Honor" giving a GDC talk about Motion Matching and its benefits. This stuff benefits Sports games tremendously.

sounds like this would be great for outfielders running down balls and pitchers with their deliveries. maybe also runners sliding and some of those great shortstop web gems.
