oh, i'm totally cool with the game if nothing changes. this is the funnest baseball gaming experience i may have ever had. to me this is a minor thing - I just have to tinker with some other sliders to get the adjustments i want. good conversation!

Lol. I'm having a great experience, as I've said many times, its the best baseball game ive ever played. I love it. Cant get enough of it. I also dont mind pointing out a few of the larger issues that are inarguably in the game. I mean this is clearly an issue lol. And a well-known one at that.

Carryover makes no difference. I played with a 17 carryover. Its a game issue. Not an attribute/slider issue.

I just always end up wishing i had your copy of the Show, based on how different your experience usually seems to be on different issues, compared to many others! I want the Countryboy Edition next year lol (just kidding).

Something else that I feel is a big difference between '18 and '17, at least in the CB edition, is the defense. The level of difference between gold glovers, good defenders, average defenders, and bad defenders is very much noticeable.

Love the play. As a side note, the catcher throws through the batter as though he’s not even there. I guess collision detection would be pretty hard to code properly on plays like that (maybe add a ducking animation for the batter or have him bail out more). The more important thing is that it’s possible to make the play.

Yeah I was yelling for the batter to get out of the way....

I do agree with this. I get robbed of base hits by great defensive players much more than in the past. It makes it fun to watch high-caliber defensive players make great plays that others just cant make, even if its frustrating in the moment lol. Very noticeable difference. Sometimes I'm shocked they made the play, and then i remember who it is. Looks like im watching real MLB sometimes.

Agreed. 17 was plagued by every IF making gold glove plays and Jeter throws. 18 is much more realistic and balanced in this regard.

If you read the slider explanations, and if I understand them correctly - the accuracy slider should affect the meter speed only - the consistency slider is the one that should have more of an impact on passed balls / wild pitches / craziness of the pitches themselves. Now, I get they are inner-connected, but still - I really don't think this is as much of a pitching issues as it is a CATCHERS issue.

I'm also on 0 control, 7 consistency for the CPU and HBP are still a problem.

Heck, I'm on 8 control, 10 consistency and still give up a WP or two per game on Legend Classic pitching.

Not sure what this adds to this conversation except more data, but i have CPU at: Control 5, Consistency 6, Str Freq 4.

I was seeing .45 HBP/G by the CPU.
                          CPU Wild pitches at .74/G.

At Hum Control 1, Human Consistency 1, i was averaging .51 HBP/G and also .51WP/G. (i have learned how to pitch as effectively as possible while trying to keep the ball out of the dirt with runners on, and even with Consistency at 1 I was able to do this.)

I have since moved both human and cpu control and Consistency but sample sizes are too small to matter yet.

I have CPU at 0/7/0 for Legend Hitting and I'm at 8/10 for Legend Classic pitching, 4/10 for HoF Classic pitching.

I'm not hitting a lot of batters (even though I pitch inside - bigger problem is them not getting the pitches in enough, not too far in) but giving up a ton of WP as I try to throw low below the zone and sometimes the pitch just gets way too low. Sliders away are another bane in my existence.
