Its a bug, when you start a franchise you have to play the first game on the schedule..the baltimore-twins game. Just play 1 at bat as the twins then fast forward. Gets rid of that bug.

Ive wondered about this, i never heard of that fix though. Mine did this for the first 5 days of the season, then it stopped and was fine. I never played any games for any teams except the Rangers. Yet a friend of mine is 20 games into his season and it's still doing it.

It was the same way last year and maybe 16 as well. I've always done that every franchise out of habit and have never heard it. It doesnt change stats or anything you just hear about the record being broke during the radio show. There was a thread about it earlier in year if I remember correctly.

Weird lol. I never heard it, even in multiple year-one franchises in 16 or many early franchises in 17. Same with the friend i mentioned. Both of us only heard it this year.

It must also go away another way also, but i have no idea what caused it to stop for me. All i have done is play full Ranger games, peruse stats, and make Ranger roster moves.

Does anybody know a fix for this after already 20 games into the season so that i can tell my buddy the fix? Its driving him crazy lol.

Anyone figure out how to get this to stop? I turned off the whole around the league update that they do just to avoid hearing this over and over again but I'd like to hear it if they'd stop proclaiming everyone set a record every time I advance the schedule a day.

Mine stopped just a few games into the season for some unknown reason. My friend that i mentioned earlier kept going, but finally stopped after a few weeks into the season. I cant figure out if it randomly stops, or if something specific triggers it. It seems like mine stopped after visiting all the different screens in Franchise mode and basically exploring everything (Transactions, trades, waivers, budget, coaches, injuries, DL, etc etc.) But it very well could have been coincidence.

If you figure it out, let me know because i am still curious.

someone really needs to sticky this issue and the solution (I have heard multiple times it is play the first inning of the first game at least then it clears). This comes up multiple times a year in multiple threads. We have a 'bug' sticky: should we create an FAQ/Answer sticky for these frequently encountered issues?

Well i just got in the game and figured out that if you just dont do Advance Day, but simply play or individually sim one game it stops it for good.

So after you finish one day, just go to the next day without Advance Day. You can do Advance Day for every day after this.

You dont have to play the first game on the schedule. You can play your game first. Just dont go through and sim each game before you play opening day. Play your game, and then sim.

What i am saying is you can go ahead and individually sim all games first, like always, then play your game, so that live scores are available in-game.

To avoid the glitch, all you have to do is, on any given day, go to the next day on the calendar and start the next day as usual but Do Not use advance day. The glitch will never come back.

It works the same way except you can go about business as usual, and still have live scores that game.

So i just started the Twins/Orioles game, let them throw 1 pitch, then simmed to the end of the game. That got rid of the broken records.

If I now use Advance Day, does the bug come back or is it gone for the rest of the season?

It should be gone. Thats really unnecessary and its just the more inconvenient method. You really could just skip one day of the radio show on any given day to fix it.

As long as it works that's all that matters.
