Create a Team Mode

I would like to see an online mode where users create a team, put them through spring training to help build attributes, build custom stadiums and play against other created teams online. Would be a more in depth mode and something that would take time to build. You would have to develop each player on the team to fit your perfect idea of specification. Everything from attributes, to personality (I'm thinking Wild thing as my pitcher.)

I'd like to see it offline franchise. Something similar exists in diamond dynasty. I don't play that mode but I have created teams just to mess with the art program. I created a team named Farmers once with a windmill logo - turned out nice.

In offline franchise simply replacing an existing team with a created team would be fun.

I'm sure SDS would do a fine job with create a team, relocation, expansion, whatever you want to call it.
HOWEVER:
I bet its MLB thats the stick in the mud on this one. Them old fogies gotta ''protect'' their precious, afterall.

Exactly. So hate all this online stuff in games. I can't afford to pay the extra money to play only. I barely can afford to buy the games themselves. Then they want extra money to play online. Ridiculous.

Not saying that the MLB is the reason why create a team isn't in the Show, but baseball games back then also had player's charge the mound and the MLB had that removed from games that use the license.

Yes

The MLB will not allow games to depict a player charging the mound or bench clearing brawls.

even the defunct 2k game had a create-a-team mode (but only a limit of 4 teams) with limited create-a-logo options...

The MLB is all about image. Alot of things have been removed from the game. I'm not sure why create a team would be removed. Does anyone know if MLB will be getting a "Long shot" mode like Madden and Fifa have?

The old All-Star Baseball games had create-a-team.

MLB the Show has create-a-team. The problem is it's limited only to diamond dynasty. I've been lobbying for years for it to be added to franchise mode so I could replace an existing team with my own created team.

I'm not sure why MLB would object since it is already in one mode of the game. If the concern is someone might do something obscene then limit it to offline and nobody will see it.

At the start, DD used to be all about training your fictional players and customizing them. DD's popularity really took off when they took those players away and brought in Legends and Flashbacks to replace them.

I highly doubt MLB is the reason we don't have create a team in franchise. I think it has more to do with only putting certain options into Diamond Dynasty in hopes to steer as many people into that direction. It's why whenever we finally get create a stadium there's a 99% chance it'll only be for diamond dynasty. It's why after every franchise game they make a big deal out of a giving you another card for the dynasty. I ain't mad at them. I ain't happy with it. It is what it is.
