I thought your explanation about the locked players in the rotation when I am setting up for a game between 2 teams made sense but Now I see stars on the left of some players and for the life of me I can figure out what that means and there are not 9 stars thus I don't have 9 positions filled.

Once again I can't change the pitchers nor can I select a 9 position lineup. I am sure it is something very simple that I just haven't seen or figured out. If I can get past this last part I will be able to play a game with a full roster. I guess I should ask this question also, once if get a full lineup do I make position changes with the D-pad like I do for the bullpen or mount visit.

Trust me slowly but surely I am picking up on these things but still stuck at the lineups. and selecting the starting pitcher.

Any help is much appreciated.

The stars you see to the left, mean those players were on the All Star team i think. So disregard those.

The very first screen that pops up should be a list of pitchers. You just select the one you want by pushing X from that list.

The next screen should be two lineup screens. One for the CPU that probably says "Ready". The other one, yours, is already pre-set. If you accept, it will use the displayed lineup. If you want to rearrange the lineup, simply hit X on the player you want to move, and then hit X on the player you want in his spot in the lineup. They will swap places. Do this until the lineup is as desired.

Once in game, just go to Substitutions to make defensive changes, or if on offense to pinch-hit for someone.

There is a lock next to meter pitching? There should be a lock next to "Pulse Meter Display" unless you change your pitching interface to Pulse.

What interface do you want to use?

OK, I see here where you explained the pulse being locked. The issue I am having now and may not have explained it properly. Now I can't choose how to pitch like before I could choose buttons and left analog stick to position the pitch. now I can't choose buttons because it is locked on a pulse when I go to pitch there is that pulse that I assume it wants me to push a button when it gets the smallest. I just have to assume that my options were wrong.

I have an HD PVR that I can record what comes out of my Dish receiver, I think I will buy the One that allows me to record or take screenshots of my games and settings I think that will help. Is there a better recording system that most people who do tutorials use or do they use the later versions of Hauppauge HD PVR that allow people to capture gameplay and screenshots.

Not sure. Pitching Interface is the only way i know to change it, by choosing Classic or Meter. To record a game, someone else may have to help. I know the easiest way seems to be to live stream the game on Youtube from the PS4, and it will archive it for you online. My internet is not that great, so i never used it. You dont need to buy anything extra.

You can take screenshots with the "Share" buttom on the controller.
