Fielding help

Anyone know how to get a fielder to take the ball directly to the bag for a double play? I do manual fielding and I've had a couple where the ss is within 5 ft of the bag when he fields it, but flips it to the second baseman at the bag. This has cost me at least a few double plays so far

This is supposed to be situational, but I think to try and force this a little more you have to NOT pre-load the throw. So if you want to take to the bag yourself, you have to wait for the ball and then press triangle to run to the bag....don't hold triangle as you are waiting for the ball like you do for normal DPs.

It is similar to 1B, where sometimes he throws to pitcher covering when he is steps away from bag. I see this happens when I pre-load the with circle.

So again, if I wait until the fielder has the ball and close enough to step on the bag, they tend to run towards the bag (provided they are close enough) than opt for the flip to the other guy covering.
