Just had an ugh, WTF moment..

Yup. Down 6-2 in 9th, playing as KC against the A’s, Kelley came in, walked first 2 batters. They had 2 pitchers warming up, Petit and Buchner. Guess who they brought in to replace Kelley.... Blake Treinen, not one of the pitchers that was warming up so technicially he came in freezing cold. Guess what he does. Shutting us down and won the game. Unfortunately the auto running costed me the game, wild pitch but catcher had it right in front of him, my slow runner (Salvador Perez) at 2B decided to run anyways and the 3rd baseman had the ball when Perez was basically half way the baselines and waited for him. He didn’t even try to run back, just kept on going knowing he’s out by miles. That was the final out of the game.

So 2 things.. freezing cold pitcher shutting the batters down easily and stupid base running gaffe by the cpu, almost like they had it set for me to lose anyways, not giving me any chance.

EDIT: forgot to add, in a point in the game, cpu had a runner at first, they hit a ball into RF in front of the fielder and I threw right to 3B when the runner barely rounded 2B and actually came to a stop past the base but decided to keep going. Turns out the throw was way off base and he was safe. It’s like he knew it was gonna be off and went anyways when the ball barely left the fielders hand. Resulted into a 2 fun inning when he would have been out by miles if the throw was on target.

The auto baserunning is always pretty psychic, which is pretty annoying... Sending a backup catcher from 2nd on a base hit to the outfielder with the best arm on the team, just because he had a chance to look at his crystal ball while rounding third lol

Re: Just had an ugh, WTF moment..

CPU reaction to inputs has been an issue for a while in this series. They react so early to situations making it unrealistic in execution and appear like a cheat. I always used to get a chuckle when I would make the mistake throwing to a base instead of the cutoff. As soon as the button was pressed the cpu was off for the extra base.
