A question about wrote to the show MLB 18

I started a career for the very first time in "the road to the show" section of MLB the show 18. I started in AA and then was moved to AAA and had up pretty good season but the team didn't make the playoffs.

My question is is that it? Or can I pick up a new season with my current stats were I ended? Or do you just play it through once and that's it? I do know that you can create as many careers as you'd like in "Road to the show"

I always have to say this so whoever reads this understand that, I'm new to video gaming in general and new to MLB the show 18. So I'm trying to learn everything at once, thus I may have some dumb questions please forgive me.

    No..

Road to the Show is the career of your player meaning that you play multiple seasons with the same character. So for the season you just completed, your player will go through the offseason and then start up a new season. You will continue to play season after season until your player retires.
I can't shave with my eyes closed, meaning each day I have to look at myself in the mirror and respect who I see.

I miss the old days of Operation Sports :(

Great, that's good to hear, would you mind telling me how I continue my career. When I go back in it says that the season has ended and we didn't make the postseason. I was expecting it to allow me to go into a new season but I didn't see a way to do it. If you could give me some directions I would appreciate it very much. Thank you for your Reply

You can sim the offseason (go to the calendar and it'll give you options to advance a day or the entire off-season) at which point, it will take you to spring training.

I'm sorry but I don't mess too much with RTTS. Hopefully someone else that plays RTTS will chime in and help you get to the next season.

Thank you very much for your reply, when I came to the end and it said something about do I want to seven through the rest of postseason I said no since my team didn't make it in. So next time I go in I will look for a way to send through the off-season.I'm really happy to know that the career can't continue until retirement and I wonder how that will work when next year's version comes out? I would assume I could import a saved career or from MLB the show 18 into MLB 19 etc. Once again thanks for your reply

Yes, once the season is over and you don't make the playoffs, you have the option of simming the rest of the season. Once MLB '19 comes out, you can import your current RttS player in '18 to '19.

Yes, I was able to find out how to send through the off-season and now I'm just starting the 2019 season. It's good to know that I can save my career and import it into any new games that come out in the future.

I haven't got into the dynasty league or played online yet but I'm having a heck of a time on the "road to the show" section of this game. Thanks for your reply you guys are helping me understand this came much more each time.

Re: A question about RTTS base running settings

I've been playing wrote to the show and everything seems to be going great with one exception. Seems that when I'm running the bases at times it seems like I can control the runner and at other times I can't.

So I made some changes in the mode-specific part of RTTS and also to the general game settings.

In a short story, I screwed things up and I can't get the settings back to even where they were.

What I would like is to be able to control my player when he's on base. I understand how to take a lead and move back in, before I screwed things up I just had to hit the left toggle towards first base on a pickoff and I would go back. Now with the changes in my settings that doesn't work that way.

I will post images of the mode-specific settings in RTTS, as well as the game options settings.

I'm hoping somebody can tell me what is the best settings to give me the most control of the runner. It seems like when I had a double it the baserunner is stopping at first and I can't get him to continue on. I'd like to be able to control him as fully as possible.

Whatever settings anyone suggests could you please tell me how to control the runner with the settings that you are recommending. I will follow whatever you guys tell me are the best settings to give me the most control but I need to know how to control the runner with my controller after I set them.

                  Thanks in advance

Re: A question about RTTS base running settings

It depends on how much of the at-bat you want to see while you're on base. Right now, you will only see when the ball is put into play (or the batter strikes out or walks). If you want to see the entire at-bat, change the RttS Baserunning Opportunities to all (or whatever it is to see everything). The interface as a runner for you is set to button, meaning, you'll have to press the button to go to the corresponding base, i.e. triangle for second. I would recommend switching it to your analog stick so you just press forward (or back) to go to the next base you want to go to. Hopefully, that answered your questions.

Feet first slide is down on the analog stick, down and to the right is feet first to the right, down and to the left is feet first to left of bag , head first is up on the stick, up and left is head first slide to the left, up and right is head first slide to right of bag or plate, and down right before the bag is a pop-up slide feet first. Hopefully, all of that made sense.

Also, if you don't select any type of slide, the computer will you do one automatically, typically the long head first slide.

yes, it does I think so. All baserunning is done with analog sticks only, no buttons or triggers are used. Is that correct?

Yes, that is correct...provided you changed the your RttS Baserunning from buttons to analog.
