Too Many Foul Pole Home Runs?

Does anyone else feel like they see way too many home runs off of foul poles compared to real life? Obviously it happens, but nowhere near as frequently as it does in the game.

In addition, the way that the announcers and cameras treat foul pole HR's as "no doubters" is unrealistic as well.

Tell me I'm not the only one who notices!

I think I've seen one ball hit the foul pole in my season.

lol, good one. I rarely use the left stick, and opponents also hit it often

wow thats surprising. I guess I must be an anomaly then. It doesn't happen to me every game, but definitely feels like a few times a month. Not talking crazy numbers, but I would safely bet it's more than a dozen times per season.

Yeah I’ve probably seen it 5 times in two full seasons

Sounds like my total. Still seems like more than in real life.

Appx 5 times in roughly 350 games seems reasonable to me.

Re: Too Many Foul Pole Home Runs?

I think i have hit the pole close to ten times in my franchise so far. I started to keep a replay of them after the 1st 3 or 4 and was going to make a compilation of all the doinks off the pole.
Sure as hell wasn't this easy when i had to hit one off the pole in the nats park for a trophy a few years back.

I've seen less than 10 in 250+ games. Seems fine to me.

That’s kind of funny. I have always thought the number of balls hitting the foul pole is one thing that is perfect in the game. Now you’re making me question myself...

I think the frequency is fine, no issue there...but I think your second point is more the issue.
The game (announcers) treat HRs off the foul polls as no doubters. The game (announcers) know off of the bat the ball is going to be fair and never treat it with suspense.

HR Cam, that they forced on us is partly to blame and the announcers also need to react more realistically to the ball in flight in these situations.

Game is broken and unplayable. You cant even track the yearto year stats on how many times you doink the pole

I really hate that animation where the batter is always waving his arms fair despite the ball being 50 feet foul. Hardly anyone ever do this today.
