I'm watching the real thing and I just realized I lose every October from overexposure to Joe Buck.

Well, the real game one is only in the top of the fourth and it already busted The Show's simulation.

I'm my franchise the Red Sox is nowhere near as good as the real team. And for whatever reason, Sale always gets hammered despite his ratings.

Its funny I occasionally write short stories for fun and I alot of times I get my character names from the spammer names I see here.

But back to the topic, in my '14 carry over I finally got the Sox to be the best team in the AL despite a tight budget. Despite the fact in real life I can't stand them, I was disappointed that they got knocked out in my divisional round. Sale and Price were amazing during the regular season but Toronto has just been on fire. I'm truly now at a point in this were it really is a distinct baseball universe from what was in the 18 game or real life. And it becomes alot of fun trying to still match logical FA signings from real life and guys who are so good in reality but the game has them on the down slope (I'm looking at you Charlie Morton).

Not surprising The Show got it wrong.

BoSox in your universe with or without JD?

In mine JD is on Toronto...and Toronto is in the WS. BoSox staples just haven't matured the way they do in real life.

Do you think the attributes are not consistent with the players in real life?

JD is still with the White Sox in mine as well as Chris Sale. They are a playoff contending team year in and year out now that they've put pieces around them.
I can't shave with my eyes closed, meaning each day I have to look at myself in the mirror and respect who I see.

I miss the old days of Operation Sports :(

I would have to see how they are rated in terms of potential and their current ratings vs real life to see why they are so off.

Keep in mind this is a 2014 carry over. Even JD is only a 78 overall though he hit 29 home runs this year like last. I've also tweaked ratings and potential for guys who weren't developing as they did in real life but even that doesn't work out all the time. I wasn't going to jump someone who was an AAAA player in my league to a perennial all-star in one edit. I've edited Justin Turner twice now, and that is it; since he is not the home run hitter, important cog in the Dodger lineup that is just the way it is now in my franchise.

Did San Diego's crystal ball say anything about turning an ernie bank special and "lets play 2"?
