You can call this a hey dev thread if you want, "allowed" or not these dudes need to be called out on how bad their game has gotten. This it the third consecutive year that I havent been able to get through a franchise because the game play is broken. Good gameplay could make you look past the poor asthetics the game also has, but since the gameplay is crap you notice the crap asthetics even more.
Next year you need to mo-cap not just stances, but strides and follow throughs as well, as a matter of fact get someone new who can do it correctly because whoever you have now is so off on most of them that you cant even fathom how he looked at a stance on a TV screen and came up with what ends up in the game. EVERY SINGLE player morphs into the ONE finishing stride you put in the game.
I dont even need to talk about pitcher motions, everyone knows they are terrible.
Fielder throwing motions have been the same for years. With fielding you have guys lolly gagging on a speedster but rushing like there's no tomorrow on a guy with 40 speed.
The ball needs to go in the correct direction after making contact with the bat, its ridiculous they way things are programmed to just randomly happen. Heres a hint, if you are early on a ball it goes to the pull field, NOT the opposite field. If I square up a pitch with good timing and good contact its NEVER going to be a dribbler to the pitcher, might be a hard lineout to an OFer or grounder at anINFer, but not a dribbler.
Equipment is terrible and needs a long hard look. Rawlings batting gloves, STILL????? No one has worn Rawlings batting gloves this decade. Locked logos so you cant make accurate color combos with the batting gloves, cleats or fielding gloves. Take a look around at the customization in the MLB today and get it right. I have said this many times and you continue to IGNORE your customer. Put in a team color 4 that is tied to the color of the pants a player has on so we can do white/gray equipment for home and road. Hell you cant even give OFers the correct size gloves to wear.
Fanboys who want to protect the "hard working devs" they have never even met by bashing anyone who says the game isnt a perfect 10/10 no need to come in here with your drivel, we have all heard it before and know its erroneous.
You need to figure out how to make the game play like baseball without having to adjust sliders nearly every game to try and make things realistic. This is a SIMULATION (or it should be). Not the MLB version of NBA Jam.
