I agree with you on Mookie being on the cover. But your takes on very young prospects not being deserving of a 99 potential cause they had bad seasons is silly. Stop it. They deserve that potential until they’re at least 25. They’re both 23 lol. They’re also both good at some things, and have the talent but need AB’s and coaching. Team batting averages hit very low lows across the board this season, lower than they’ve been in awhile. And strikeouts are still going up up up. So Moncada striking out a lot and hitting .230 is actually more in line with a surprising amount of veterans these days.

We have different views on worthiness of 99 potential.

A prospect rated number 1 means very little to me until value substantiates that "assumption."

Look at Soto (age 19) and look at Acuna (age 20) and you see two players definitely worthy of a 99 potential. Moncada is what, 23, and hasn't produced anywhere near those I mentioned. Now, if and when Moncada or the like shows that promise, then he can be rated as such. Until then, Moncada, in my opinion, is nowhere near a 99 potential. I would give him a high B or 90 at best.

My take on prospects is Show Me. You obviously have a different view. Great!

After looking at Moncada's fielding, my previous 90 at best should have been mid to high 80's--B potential.

Buxton is another one who was a 99 potential. Now, he is 24 and well, what is there to say? Oh, yes, Buxton was a number 1 prospect. Of course, my friend above would still give him a 99 potential because he isn't 25 yet.

The great thing about potential in the Show now is that the last few years its been totally editable. If there are any issues, thats completely fixable now.

Yeah, I dont really want him to sign w/Atlanta, I just want him out of the NL East. And it would be so much easier to root against him if he winds up a Yankee. This has me wondering, if by some miracle of miracles he signed w/Toronto would he be the Canada cover guy too, and what if that happened after SDS already signed a different player for the Canada cover . See, San Diego, you signed a deal with the devil and he's already screwing ya lol

For the first time in this Franchise I am on the fence about next years game. I am really enjoying 18 a lot! If major changes don't come to Franchise Mode and some more legacy issues fixed. I may take a hard pass for a bit and maybe wait for a price drop or even skip a year. Not really trying to be bashing of the game or devs, I am just more careful with my gaming dollar lately and if I like a game and have not lost interest I just don't see the need to "upgrade" every year for $60

I get it why some arent pre-ordering/getting the game... But that will never be myself, I will always purchase and play the **** of out The Show each year.
