Odds they bring back season mode?

If they'd make franchise mode able to set the amount of games in season, there would be even less reason to bring it back. But I'll make this promise to Sony - if you bring season mode back I'll buy 2 copies

Yeah people don't seem to realise that season mode was more than just a shorter season. And could actually be played for multiple years just like franchise.

I like season mode for classic rosters from the 80s and play 3-4 seasons with them. And the main reason I liked season mode was roster makers need not make 2700 plus players for a playable roster. Make 25-40 man rosters and be done with it.

I'm going 90% that they bring it back.

I think they've seen the outrage/backlash of removing it and therefore will have it back in '19

I'm going to keep a running tab on what the OS collective hive has for season mode odds to return.
Right now we stand at 17%.

As much as I want it back, I don’t see it happening. The outrage died down considerably after the first few weeks. And I assume they had a reason to take it out to begin with. And that reason, whatever it was, probably hasn’t changed

I was always a Season mode guy until this year. And I’d go right back to it if it does return. But I’m not optimistic.

I would love to have it back, and see more attention paid to RttS and Franchise, but I think there's a better chance they remove/reduce an existing offline mode than add one back in. DD is the focus now, since that's where the $$$ is...

As much as I want them to bring it back, I'd rather they focus on making franchise better. Put me down for %20 odds though.

Not going to happen. So far, just about everything (ex: option to toggle home run cam on/off) they've removed they have not brought back.

As someone who cares more about the historical files than the current ones - I'm hoping the odds are 100%. I just hope they bring it back because I don't want to get loaded down with years and years of stuff - just a singular season. I really hope they will.

I like the Simplicity of season mode I have many legendary players over three or four hundred I've created. Anyone who has created players would love a season that would keep track of the stats and carry over to the next year but don't want to be involved with waivers and computer interfering with the lineups and the roster. If they do bring back season they should allow people to transfer all their created players from franchise from roster to season. Plus I really would love to be able to add the legendary players that the show offers but I was unable to use them because I was in the middle of a season when I transferred my players over to the new game.

It would be nice to have it back. It was much easier to play historical seasons with Season Mode.

However if they don’t it’s not like you can’t use Franchise mode with CPU roster control turned on and play out a single season. Just keep a master file you use to start a new season each time you want to replay a particular year.

But I was stunned season mode was removed. But at the same time it is quite possible the development time was too short to implement the new interface (phases) into season mode as well.

I say it is 70/30 we see Season Mode return. Here is hoping it does. I lost a lot of great rosters in terms of not being able to transfer over my master season files from 17 to 18. And that was such a shame as 18 is a vastly better game than 17. Fortunately the rosters created for 17 were able to be transferred over as franchise mode files after I saw season mode was removed. I went back and created a bunch of Franchise mode master files for all the 25-40 man rosters I used on season mode. But I had stuff from 15 and 16 that was epic that were not able to be transferred.
