I won't be getting RD2, or a new TV (not soon). The PS4 will mainly be for the kids, but I'll get some RTTS in.

I'd say 18, too. It's only like 20$ now and I personally feel like its the best iteration yet. I hadn't realized that I'm still playing with out the box sliders. Honestly, its just a great overall game. Plus, retro mode is blast to play with kids.

Gotta catch'em all.
Start w/14, work your way up to 18 or 19 or 20, playing 1 season on each. That way you wont have the same schedule every year.

you have a choice get mlbts 18 and get the OSFM hybrid roster from the vault and ply that..OR wait for mlbts 19 (supposed to be released in march of 2019) and wait for the OSFM roster for THAT then play.

either way..its an awesome game.

Looking at the Official RTTS threads, it looks like there are more issues with 18 than 17. Can someone elaborate on this, or am I misreading what I see. I will say the new ability to have customized batting stances are a tempting feature.

My biggest complaint with 16 was OF throwing. Was it fixed in 17 or 18?

Personally, if you are getting a version of The Show to just play RttS, I would recommend The Show 17. I've been frustrated with RttS in 18, as the attribute caps, archetypes and forced positional changes really made my RttS wonky, and forced me into a bench role starting in my second season in the majors that I was never to get out of. Nothing I could do could get me out of only being a pinch hitter for several years (requesting trades didn't work, and no other teams offered me a contract during free agency other than my original club), so I just gave up on RttS in 18 altogether.

Thank you. I am primarily RTTS. I'll be buying 16 and 17 so I can transfer saves.

What issue did you have with the OF throwing in '16?

Double crow hops throwing from the outfield. You'd have a fully charged meter on a throw home and he'd always regather like he meant to hit the cutoff man first. THEN he'd lollygag the ball home. Infuriating you can't nail Pierzynski with Ichiro.

It just occurred, this is why guys are player locking in MLB 18.
