Online franchise in MLB 19?

Any word on this? This is definitely a make or break for me this year. I picked up MLB 18 after the price dropped and it was a mistake. Online franchise is all I played and the games just boring without it. If anyone’s has any information on this please let me know. Thanks

Actually had a question for those of you who played online Franchise. I never played the mode when it was available.


My question is how did it work. Were you able to take 9 friends and each play a position and have a at bat?

Or was it more of one friend versuses the other and one person fully controlling the team?

I don’t play much online, but I’m fairly certain it’s only team by team. The position by position thing sounds cool though, in theory.

I don't think any baseball game has ever allowed one player per position/at bat. I would love for it to happen, but it'd probably be pitcher/infield/outfield 3 v 3 if they were to ever do it, no way can these MLB servers handle 10+ in one session

You actually can accomplish this using SHAREPLAY. Is it ideal or like playing online? not as much but you can play on the same team if those people are in your party chat and you invite them to play.

Still wouldnt make sense though. Only 8 people in a chise? I'd have to agree its likely the HR Derby mode. I'm hopeful though. Hell, I only have 4 people in my online franchise. I'll take that!

This is what the difference is listed on bestbuy for MLB THE SHOW 19. This does not mean 1-8 in leagues at all! Not sure why anyone would think that, because leagues you can have up to 29 other individuals and has been this way for years. If they do decide to bring it back the setup should be the same round robin or full leagues as before. It is coming back but more than likely all online will still be FASTPLAY. The leagues will be a strip down version of what franchise is offline.
