Contract Customization
I have always been a big supporter of realism with whatever roster I choose to use for my franchises. I always edit every contract in the roster to make it accurate in both years and salary. I even edit the lower minor leagues too. I’m hoping for MLB 19 the way contracts are programmed is a little different. I personally think the NBA 2K Series has the best customization for contracts. They let you edit individual years, add options and edit the value of them, it’s just something I’m wishing on a star for in MLB 19. I’d also love it if you could sign a player to a MLI for spring training. And finally, with Harper and Machado destined to sign record contracts I hope SDS ups the maximum money past $30mil a season and the maximum years past 10. Is there anything contract related that you guys hope gets included in MLB 19?PSN: lxl_Porta_lxl

Re: Contract Customization
For myself, the three things contract wise I'd like to see added in '19 are:
1) League minimum for minor leaguers brought up to the majors. Frustrating to have a player take an attribute hit because he is not being paid the league minimum for a major league players. Even more frustrating that its out of your hands.
2) Contract extensions
3) Opt outs in contractsI can't shave with my eyes closed, meaning each day I have to look at myself in the mirror and respect who I see.
I miss the old days of Operation Sports :(

Re: Contract Customization
This would also be nice, or even have deferred money since that seems to be somewhat prevalent in the MLB. Madden used to give you the ability to front load or back load a contract. They even let you give a signing bonus. MLB sadly seems to be behind in the contract programming portion of sports games.
countryboy, I like that major league minimum idea. It is pretty annoying when they lose attribute points because they're in the Majors making $30k plus it's super unrealistic.PSN: lxl_Porta_lxl

Re: Contract Customization
Whenever I promote a player to the bigs, I always release them and re-sign them to a deal worth at least 500K. Usually more to cheat the horrible morale system.

Re: Contract Customization
I like this idea, wouldn't have to necessarily auto-sign but as long as their team controllable have them be tradable because it really is annoying when you can't trade prospects in the offseason because they haven't signed a contract.PSN: lxl_Porta_lxl
