Picking off runners at 1st base?

Does anybody have any success picking off runners at 1st base with L2 and circle? I haven’t been able to get anybody out at all this year. All my pitchers be like Jon Lester...

Yes I’ve picked off some base runners over the course of my playing time

I can't shave with my eyes closed, meaning each day I have to look at myself in the mirror and respect who I see.

I miss the old days of Operation Sports :(

I have as well. Your pitcher has to have a quick movement like Clevinger and Tomlin. Its not easy, but it is and can be done. though 200 something games, I have 4 or 5. I was by Gomes snap throwing. I didn't think that was possible but I got one that way too.
Really wish sports games played to ratings!
Only thing SIM about sports games now, are the team name and players
      CFB 25 The absolute GOAT!!!
MLB 23 FOREVER 20 is better, 23 just for Guardians
Madden get rid of the extras (SS/XF, HFA, media, scenarios, game plan) or turn them down considerably.

But what rating dictates a quick movement? Is is the pitchers reaction, arm strength, accuracy? Is it a combination of the 3? Is there a rating under the hood that we don’t see that differentiates a pitcher with a good move vs a pitcher with a bad pickoff move?

Not a game changer for me but I am curious. Perhaps it’s solely based on user input and I suck.[emoji15]

I have only picked off players when using a Left handed pitcher. there are moments where the guy will lazily stand up from his bent over stance and if you watch closely they sometimes are not looking at the pitcher.

Thanks for this. I’m going to keep my eyes open.

Any picks pale in comparison to the number of times the cpu has picked off a human.. Wish they even this out in next version.

THIS !! lol. I try to chalk it up im really aggressive and suck so thats why i get picked off. But i have never been able to return the favor.

I have thrown a runner out at 1st from the outfield this week. Only time that has happened for me on 17&18. Thought they wrote that off for real.
I play MLB exclusively with my cousin. Usually looking for info on Franchises. We played minor league baseball as 9-10 YOs on the Zephyrs.
