    Baserunning

Since the last patch or two I have had big problems with baserunning. In Diamond Dynasty when I hit a ground ball, even when there are two outs or it goes through the infield, my baserunners often dash back to the previous base instead of running to the next base.

Is anyone else noting this too?

I haven't experienced this playing in franchise.

Are you using AUTO or MANUAL/ASSISTED baserunning?
I can't shave with my eyes closed, meaning each day I have to look at myself in the mirror and respect who I see.

I miss the old days of Operation Sports :(

Yes, I have seen it and with auto baserunning on. Why does it happen? Why does auto baserunning or auto fielding result in often making your players play below their abilities? Meanwhile, CPU players often play above their abilities.

The only explanation I can think of is programming. You are being penalized for using auto. Think how simple it would be for them to program auto fielding same for both CPU and user and base it on attributes. Same goes for auto baerunning--ever see CPU players do that back to base with two outs?

The issue did not exist at the beginni g of the season. It was added with one of the latest patches. Perhaps it was added to recreated what happened with Yelich and Ryan Braun in the playoffs where on a ground ball Yelich went back to first instead of heading immediately to second.

I may just have to turn automatic baserunning off.

I don't think the patch has anything to do with it. I've seen it happen this year and last year. I have also seen players not advancing with auto baserunning off! I have been using assist for more than a month now. I have seen my runner at first not advancing with a hit! He just stays off first base and doesn't advance, Thus, he gets thrown out at second and my player doesn't get credited for a hit; instead, it states ground out to left field.

So that's how I play now with baserunning on assist, and stuff like that still happens. At least now my runners don't try to score when they shouldn't.

I think a lot of times patches get blame where something else is causing problems. Can't say thats the case here or not though.
