^I miss him so much. Dude was an absolute lunatic on the mound...in a good way. Watching him hit was always a treat as well.

Oh, and he also contributed to one of my favorite baseball memories. I watched Jason Heyward homer in his first AB off Zamrano on opening day 2010. Then I had to rush to work. I was absolutely euphoric.

I, too remember the Heyward homer off Zambrano...not one of my favorite memories of his!

But I do have a good Big Z memory - as I was at the game in which the Cubs and Astros played at Miller Park, due to a hurricane affecting the Houston area. Zambrano proceeded to throw a no-no...what an amazing/surreal experience to be at the Brewers home ball park, full of Cubs fans, and to see a no hitter live.

That moment was absolutely chilling. Trailing 3-0 after the 1st inning, and the rookie sensation delivers in the biggest way possible with the crowd all anticipating his very first AB. The hug from chipper..

Man I really thought that run between 2010-2014 would deliver another world series
