I am definitely purchasing 19. I bought my first PlayStation in many years, finally getting the PS4. I have been an xbox-lifer. A few dedicated guys were updating MLB2K13 for the past several years. I had never played The Show ever before until getting 18. MAN, was I BLOWN AWAY. BEAUTIFUL game... Once I got the learning curve picked up I fell in love with it. Yeah, some faults to it. But I also went back and grabbed 16 & 17 to get some older roster files.

I would like to see the A Rosters expanded to add more. I would also like to see Season Mode added (and drop that retro crap thing). But I love this game. I'm not a lifer like a number of guys here, so I don't see the faults as much as you guys do. I don't use the ballcards / packs - I have no idea what the hell those even mean (I'm 46...I'm old).

These baseball games and the nearly 30 years of historical rosters I have for NBA 2K11 (360) are pretty much all I need. I have the Spiderman game and RDR2 - but I don't really understand them. I'm old...

Theres only one good reason not to buy 19. And thats if A&S buys it for you like he's done in past years. You know, OS'ers oughta buy 19 for him this time.

I started skipping when I noticed after all of these years there still isn’t things that are in baseball.

Rain delays (toggle on or off)
Weather affecting the ball.
Double headers from rescheduling (toggle on or off)

It’s in baseball but yet they want to tell you no one wants that kind of realism. Since then they have dumbed the game down, focused on shorter games, emphasis on things that are arcade to me. It’s time for a fresh crew to come in and take another look at things as it has declined. Competition disappeared and you see it in the past few releases now. They have the best game on the market only problem is I feel the series went stale these past three years.

Seeing the same intro and sequences between each inning puts me to sleep. I’m waiting to see if anything in 19 will bring my interest back.

If they didn’t make significant changes to franchise mode and fix the RTTS that they royally messed up last year I will proubaly pass on 19..

I'm planning on skipping. That's not a critique on the series, but rather praise.

MLB 18 is playing brilliantly for me. And I'm invested in my franchise. There's not much reason I can see to start over with 19, especially since there's a chance it won't play as well as 18.

MLB 19 may eventually suck me in, especially since Acuna doesn't exist in my MLB 18 universe, but we'll see.

I am stating facts! Unfortunately I don't see anything wrong with that! Base running is a key fundamental of Baseball and should be the same for the gameplay mechanics of a Baseball game!

It's not my fault that it has been over looked for so long! I am sure any MLB The Show fan would appreciate the slightest improvement too this area of gameplay! After years of neglect especially in the CPU logic for base running!

My initial post in this thread did not capture all of the known issue's with base running! So to give more context! My issue is with the overall base running system! Which includes the animation's and which lack so much from a actual baseball experience!

In short base runners go from station to station without any awareness of what is actually happening on the field see the video below! And the repetitive animations in place only add insult to injury!

This is just a small sample of how terrible the CPU logic for base running has been for the last five years! And I would hope it would be addressed in 2019! But 5 again that's 5 long years and not one major adjustment! As another use in this thread pointed out earlier! The game plays like a movie clip that can't be paused.

Now take that concept and watch the CPU run the base paths below. All the action is cookie cutter! No strategy, no logic, no awareness all of what should have been programmed fundamentals!

Base running is a game within itself and MLB The Show has shown absolute 0 reflection of that in its game.

At this point, I'm only interested in RTTS and as of now the fielding is a total deal-breaker. No way I'm jumping back in without some changes.

There will never an sports game without offline franshise. The problem with all Sports Game now is, only little improvement in offline modes. Too much goes to Diamond Dynasty.
