PLEASE..PLEASE..PLEASE...PLEASE...LET'S NOT TURN THIS INTO A DISCUSSION AS TO WHY IT HASN'T BEEN DONE, WHY IT NEEDS TO BE DONE, I'M NOT BUYING UNTIL ITS DONE, OR ANYTHING ALONG THOSE LINES.

THIS THREAD WAS CREATED WITH THE INTENTION OF HAVING FUN AND SEEING WHAT FELLOW OS'ERS WOULD DO IF THIS FEATURE WAS IMPLEMENTED. THERE ARE PLENTY OF OTHER THREADS TO DISCUSS THE DECISION MAKING UP TO THIS POINT OF SDS ON THIS FEATURE

Ok...with that out of the way.

A friend of mine and I were discussing this the other day, ideas of what real life stadiums or fictitious ballparks we would create if this feature ever came to be in The Show series.

I have to be honest, I've never been a big proponent of this feature, but after he and I talked about it and the more I thought about it, depending on how it was done, I could see myself not only having fun with it, but really getting into it.

For myself, the first thing that I would do is create authentic Spring Training parks. It would make playing Spring Training more immersive playing in the actual spring training parks. The second thing I would do is create authentic minor league parks, although I really don't play many minor league games, but I could at least play the All-Star games in those parks.

As far as creating a new stadium/ballpark for use in franchise mode, I don't see myself doing that, unless it was tied to expansion/relocation.

So what about you? What ballparks would you replicate or create if this feature were ever to come to fruition?

I want to scratch that itch SO badly..

Old parks with similar designs: Tiger Stadium and Comiskey Park.

I'd move the Yankee stadium dimensions back to their originals; I'd do that with all the older parks. I'd put the monuments on the field at The Stadium. I'd like to add with your other thread that for a moment I thought was a duplicate a new stadium for a new team that I build/grow with the club. So if we only get 13K out as we start it is a small park with a few unique features, then as we get better and more popular I add on.

I'd also build the Kingdome. Then I'd build explosives and implode the Kingdome.

I like what above posters have said... Kingdom, Tiger Stadium, and Comiskey Park.... please allow me to add Cleveland Municipal Stadium to this list.

Maybe Ebbets Field... really, the more classic stadiums the better IMO.

I think I'd kick things off with their combination of the best assets from Fenway, Wrigley, and Yankee Stadium.

A circular, cookie-cutter ballpark that could be Three Rivers, The Vet, Riverfront, or the old Busch Stadium.

And if at all possible, a field from days of old where there wasn't even an outfield fence, just a rope to hold back the fans.

Nothing. Every stadium creator in any game has severely lacked the attention to detail that makes a stadium unique and exiting to play in. Generic city or rural backdrops, cookie cutter aesthetics with coloring options. That’s the antithesis of what makes baseball’s cathedrals unique.

It’s not worth their time and efforts as a “limited staff” to even entertain these types of posts. You’d be better off having them get the rights to more defunct, minor league, or spring training venues and passing the cost on to us via dlc, than to waste the resources on something most people might mess with once and then never touch again.

In lieu of a complete create-a-stadium, I'd settle for 1 stadium where you could alter the outfield dimensions and nothing else.
