This isn't or never will be about what roster creators bring to the the Showz and we discussed this for a few lines on Twitter. But all of the roster feedback can be done by doing exactly what was done - here is a listing of what was wrong. I've done rosters in the past - I've HELPED with rosters in the past. I would love to know what feedback you think would be valuable to game developers outside of 'be more accurate when you can' because after that you're talking about how ratings affect the game.

My biggest issue with this thread was Houston saying "at least offer me to go, I would have declined." Like... That feels so self serving. It's NEVER been about who goes out there. It's ALWAYS been about making the game better. But nowadays it just feels like jealousy pops up way more than before instead if saying "Well here's what I would have told Sony".

Outside of me how many of you actually looked up the other Partners who went and found out their backgrounds in the game? How many of you knew one of them WORKS for Fan Graphs and writes for ESPN, or that two of them played college baseball, or that (again) almost all of them logged well over 2000+ hours of gameplay within the actual game?

Instead we have what we have - "Why not me?"

I was taught that important lesson by this very site years ago. When you start asking "Why not me" then you start never having to worry about it ever being you. I give my time with feedback to multiple games without ever asking to be invited anywhere. I don't expect that to happen and when I hear about others going my first instinct isn't "why not me" it's "let me get as much info as I possibly can so that this person can be ready, if they're not already". That's why I blew up yesterday and that's why I stand behind my words of feeling like OS has lost it's standing as being at the forefront. It just became too much "me" and not enough "us".

Trust me dude I have volunteered to provide feedback for years and have given it when asked. I will never ask and have never asked “why not me”. At this point the agendas are becoming more clear. As i said earlier we will make an announcement on the future of OSFM in coming weeks. Peace out!

I've given all the feedback given to me from everyone who has given it. And if you've given feedback then what is the issue? You want answers from it? That's not how feedback works.

Is this a credit thing? You mention a bunch of names you say should have gone to SDS yet don't give reasoning as to why or what the have done to earn it outside if the hours spent making rosters. Respect - the rosters are widely used. I've said that to you NUMEROUS times over the years. Yet here we are with "the agendas" being thrown out.

Nemesis said it best - those who ask to go never do. Those guys that went to Community Days in the past (Including Knight - remember him?) went because it wasn't about the name on the file or the username on the forums. It was "The game is more important than what I get out of it". EXACT QUOTE.

It's about time 'New OS' took a lesson from 'Old OS' in that.

You're all absolutely right. Because I haven't been in OS and played the Show since before OS was here (and before it was The Show).

And you wonder why the devs don't come here for opinion anymore.

I don't get the intense angry posts in this thread. It seems like it's an argument of "either" "or" instead of both. What I mean is, Mills, the feedback you give on game development is valuable and I can see why you were invited. But, the work done by the many roster makers is equally valuable. Does that mean they too should be invited...I guess that's up to the developers of the game.

I personally couldn't care less who gets invited or not. Just make a great game. It seems like a lot of people feel disrespected in this thread...perhaps that's true. But you have to give respect to earn it. I'm with Ridin, I'm out too.

Why would they invite roster creators, when it was an event to test game play? The Rosters ridin and his team put together are great but the event was to test game play, so they invited those who they seemed fit.

Mills I’ve watched your channel before. You are enertaining at times and bring up good points a times. That said anyone who scans your stuff is going to see a guy messing around with the cards and lump you into the bunch. I don’t really view you as the sim voice for the community. Quite frankly you wouldn’t have a channel worth a damn if you were sim all the way. It’s not a knock so don’t take the criticism personally, seems like you have. The Show selling more since leaving OS doesn’t mean those are related. Correlation doesn’t prove causation.

The OS community as a whole has evolved since I first started coming here. At least with the Show has remained closer to the original. Just look here compared to 2k and Madden. This is a small community that wants sim (less now than in the past). We will never be the voice. The focus is DD now, I understand that. It’s fair for people to say that when franchise doesn’t get changed except for a face lift. All gamers are more entitled now. That isn’t an OS alone problem. 2k is a great game of basketball offline but you wouldn’t know that based on the loud voices because their green releases don’t always go in.

I’d like to see more guys from the sliders forums give feedback, maybe they have. Armour is a guy who I like how he does sliders and he would potentially provide great feedback. I don’t know how many guys like me still come. Go look at the rosters forums and sliders forums and basically skip the rest.

Mill can speak for himself but in the past I have been in on conversations as a group giving feedback and he was very on point when it came to feedback on the game. I would not label him as a type but for the good of the game.
