Manage mode for mlbts 18 is the best ever but there are still a few instances in which the CPU takes over decisions which should be left to the user. One example is when the CPU team brings the infield into bunt defense the user controlled batter will not swing at a pitch. If you don't order the batter to bunt he will just stand there and take pitches until he either walks or strikes out.

Not sure whether any manage mode users have been invited. If they don't touch manage mode it is still great but there is some room for improvement.

Well you must be disappointed in a lot of others. Or are you just disappointed in Mills?

Not sure why this was even a question, but there is reason to be disappointed in many people. I also expect leaders, which I consider mods to be, to not fall into the flock when responding. Mills is a good dude, who has done a lot for the community, but I can see why the comment was made in regards to Mills.

That being said, there are many people who could handle thing differently on this website (and in day-to-day life). I will continue to watch Mills stream, and visit OS, because I like the content and people. Could we do better collectively? Yeah. And that is what I believe Mills is ultimately asking for.

Considering the down right awful and pitiful opinions I've seen about this game anywhere besides OS. I'm not thrilled about those people getting a better chance of their voices to be heard by devs.

I just find it a little sad that one guy called out Mills and Mills decided to trash the entire community of OS again and again.

I think it's obvious. Before DD became a thing Franchise/RTTS was the only focus. So SDS came here because they knew OS gave great feedback on it. And wanted it to be better.

The last 3+ years it's all been DD. With a bit of pandering towards franchise with small changes. The show is a shame compared to every other major sports game in regards to franchise mode at this point. It just is. Never thought I'd say Madden has a superior mode by far.

The OS community gets upset at the direction of the game. SDS knows it. They dont come here. Because hardly anyone here cares about DD.

And you are not wrong about minor changes to Franchise. Honestly, when Franchise modes took a backseat is when most of the forums on OS took a turn. I understand that it mostly stems from seeing our favorite mode not get the love it once did. I also agree that innovation lacks big time with sports games today for franchise modes.

I do have to disagree about Madden though. That is the worst Franchise experience out there IMO, lol!

If you told me NBA2K MyLeague....I would not even flinch. The amount of customization and options at your fingertips is second to none.

But Madden? Hell freaking no. What can you do on Madden that you can't on The Shows franchise mode? Custom Draft Classes? Only took a decade.....and you can still edit your draft picks to real players if you wish on The Show.

The only issue I have with this thread is the issue I've had for the last few years at OS, which is the fact that any naysayers of the Show are instantly ridiculed and labeled as "the problem with the community." Clearly countryboy and Armor love the show the way it is and that's awesome, more power to them. But there are a LARGE contingent of users here that don't, we are disappointed in certain modes being largely ignored and we should not be ridiculed or labeled as the problem because we voice our displeasure with the game. And we CERTAINLY should not be blamed for pushing the devs off the site. If the devs left the site because they couldn't take the criticism, that's on them, it isn't our fault for speaking our minds. However if you've been to "their" forums, it seems the criticism over there HIGHLY outweighs the criticism here so I'm fairly certain that isn't why they left. As someone just said, it seems they may have left because their focus went away from franchise (OS) and went to DD (Show Forums). It may be as simple as that.

The main thing that puzzles me is why people think roster creator's should get invited for game play input. Common sense should say, invite people the log hundreds of hours playing the game.

If it was a roster making input event, then invite those who help create rosters. Those people who put hundreds of hours into the rosters.

Better A.I team building logic/trade/draft logic
Better storyline presentation/ news feed
More involvement from coaches/more impactful
More indepth ownermode/relocation
Better offseason overall (more exciting fa signing and resigning.
The progression system provides more realistic results (i don't prefer the method, but it gets better results)
Better U.I

It's just a more exciting mode overall in my opinion. It's close but madden gets the edge.

The community days are a wonderful event. I'm sure the people that went did a great job communicating issues.

I know when I was going different people were brought in to focus on different areas of the game to give feedback and help find and fix bugs.

Some people would focus on gameplay, others rtts, franchise and others art. All the feedback in the world can go, but the game moves in the direction the analytics take it in. For years more people played rtts and that took the majority of the dev cycle.

DD is king now and that is ok. The Show team has great developers and many of them have great ideas but it is about what will help sell the game.

I'm a franchise mode guy, but I understand. What I hope is that they come back that direction. Many sports franchises that have dominated lost a crowd and were never the same and I think of nba live in the 90s and 2000s...
