    A few days early?

Is there an option this year to pay a little extra or buy the souped up version and get to play a few days before the 26th?

    Not this year.

Unless something changes all versions are scheduled to release on March 26th.
I can't shave with my eyes closed, meaning each day I have to look at myself in the mirror and respect who I see.

I miss the old days of Operation Sports :(

Did we have that in that past or am I just thinking of Madden?

Last year if you pre-ordered from Gamestop you got the game the Friday before release.

Even by games publisher standards, this is so scummy when they do this, so hopefully they won't.

The games ready, you've all given us full price to pre-order it, but we won't let you have it yet unless you pay an extra fee. Classic EA stuff tbh, squeezing every last penny out of their most "loyal" customers. Particularly scummy with all these Ultimate team modes, where an extra few days head start could give you an advantage over the other players who "only" pre-ordered the game.

Last year it didn't matter which version it was. I got the regular edition from Gamestop the Friday before.

Yeah, I'm not crazy about the Gamestop arrangement but it's nowhere near the league of EA's gamepass or whatever it is, where you pay like £20 a year to get the game 4 days early(forcing you to buy digital as well). The Show has never, to my knowledge, gone down the "pay to play early" route

I guess I fall on the other side of the penny; I love capitalism lol.
I'd pay a couple c-notes to get it the first week of March.

EDIT: I dont play online but I can see what kind of headache it would cause when people get a jumpstart on DD, but I'm selfish, I still want the game as early as I can get it

The problem is, you aren't actually getting it early. They've deliberately held it back for everyone else and then sold you the standard release date under the lie of it being "early".

Every town has that one mom and pop store that will break street date and sell it early regardless.

I mean, exploiting your customers is sort of "smart business" I guess, but it's not great. Endless microtransactions are "smart business", but it doesn't mean they aren't awful, same goes for locking out parts of the game that should be there as standard, but charge extra for them. The computer games industry is full of these things now and it sucks tbh. But I guess they will keep finding more ways to charge you more for the same thing and enough people will just stomach it to make it worth their while

So it depends on which side of the coin you're on.

Yes, I guess if I owned EA, this would be fantastic.
