Your plans for MLB The Show 19

I wasn't going to made a new thread but I figured WTH. With all the negativity about this year's game within our community, I figured let's try and focus on the positives (especially with almost no facts out yet about the game)
    So...
What are you looking forward to doing in this year's rendition of The Show?

I am, like many others, a franchise player mostly. I always dabble in the new features, test them out but then settle into my Red Sox franchise after the OSFM rosters come out.
However, I'm hearing the OSFM rosters are in question this year, I love having the rosters but I don't usually get to actually play with the players cause I don't get that far into franchise.

This year I plan on creating an Atlanta Braves franchise from the start and use that as my "fantasy" franchise, I'll make unrealistic trades and play with a variety of players.
After (if) the OSFM rosters are released, I'll create my Red Sox franchise, play that pretty true to real life. I will develop minor leaguers and try and limit major trades and free agent signings, I may let some top players walk and do a slight rebuild in year 2 or 3. If no OSFM rosters, I'll create my own prospects, probably just the Red Sox ones and some top prospects from other teams.

    What are you planning?

A bit off topic but I’m pretty sure OSFM is confirmed for this year but it won’t be called OSFM anymore.

I plan to transfer my A's franchise from 18 and continue that, which is something I've never done before, so that'll be interesting. I'll have to look up some tips for doing that so I don't screw it up haha.

That should hold me over until the custom rosters are released, and then I'll probably start a new A's franchise. I usually dabble in Diamond Dynasty at the beginning of the year while I wait for the rosters, but I don't think I will as much this year.

I'm a huge baseball nerd, so I've been jotting down notes about sliders, release day matchups, and building my custom soundtrack, which is an annual ritual for me. When I get the game I'll probably look at the rosters for a bit then start my usual Braves-Mets exhibition game. In the long run, it's all about Franchise. I bounced around a handful of rebuilding clubs last year and nothing really stuck. This year, I'm all in on the Braves. They should be a ton of fun to play with out the gate, and I already have some roster moves in mind to take it to the next level. I think it's gonna be a fun Summer!

I am going to carry over my Royals franchise from 18. It is similar to what OP described for Braves: every trade has to be realistic but I can make as many as I want. Then I am going to start an ultra-realistic Mariners 'chise and lastly a Critical Moments (if this feature returns) franchise with my favorite team, the Giants.

Play with Atlanta @ Miami with the retooled outfield wall is my first agenda, then I'll wing it from there.

As soon as I get '19, I'll carryover my franchise and start Spring Training. During ST, I'll update missing players and any appearance changes that may occur during the carryover (last year skin tones went red)

But as always I'll jump right in and not look back.
I can't shave with my eyes closed, meaning each day I have to look at myself in the mirror and respect who I see.

I miss the old days of Operation Sports :(

I'm a franchise player at heart and I will dig deep into it in 19 as usual. But I'm actually looking forward to carrying over my RTTS player. I'm not into the "my player" modes and online stuff in video games. I always create a player in RTTS but I never get far into it. I wasn't far enough into the one from 17 to port it over to 18. That wont be a problem this year, though. I think I'm like 70plus games in. I love how condensed everything is. I can rip off 4 or 5 games in 30 mins. Plus I'm using the OSFM roster so I want to see how well my player as well as the real life prospects develop. Looking forward to Show 19!

I will be taking the most updated rosters from MLB 18, sim a season and carryover to the 2019 season for MLB 19.

I plan on finishing(or starting?) the rebuild for the Marlins. New uniforms, logos and they got rid of that awful statue in center field.

I plan on building the pitching staff and would like to avoid one dimensional players if I can. First year or 2 is signing guys to 1 year deals and hope they turn into trade chips, then hopefully some of the young kids will be ready. Also put a large focus on the draft, but those guys wont be ready for another few years.

played through all 162 with the Braves in 18 and might try to do the same thing again in the 19.

Also thinking about going with the Padres or the Rockies. If the Padres sign Bryce or Manny, it could be a lot of fun bringing Tatis/Urias/Mejia up through the big league team while Bryce or Manny lead the way. I'm also a huge Austin Hedges and Wil Myers fan, so that helps.

First I have to see if there is a mode for me to play.
