I would say you really right. I find it worrisome that they are grasping at straws for the build up to this years release. Like really? Your big reveal for GameStop Monday is that we get relatively the same **** we get every year for a pre-order? Cool.

Once again every bit of their marketing shows what direction they want to take this series in. Eventually everything will be DD related and I wouldn't be surprised if they just scrapped franchise altogether

No your not in the minority here. Everything about this year spell 2019 is just a roster update for 2018, especially for Franchise Players. Game is at a stalemate unless you are an online Diamond Dynasty guy.

Each time we get new "information" I get more inclined to pass on this years game.

Unless the gameplay tweaks they have teased are significant or more has been added to franchise mode than we think, I have not seen anything close enough to warrant my $60 much less a pre order. Sadness prevails.

You're probably not too far off...I think one of the GameStop Mondays for MLB The Show 17 was an unboxing of the Hall of Fame Edition.
