Watching this video and taking notes...

This looks really good. I might even dabble even though I've never done RTTS. Kudos to Sony for what looks like a lot of positive development in this mode. That they removed the caps and made it so you can dictate which team drafts you will make plenty of RTTS'ers happy.

It also looks pretty deep and that the relationships and training are tied into progression instead of boring busy work. I wonder if they've considered putting any of those personality types (lightning rod, maverick, captain, heart and soul) into other modes? That might be a way to deepen the morale system in, say, franchise mode.

Gotta work on that 'bros per team' stat now.

The new player of the game graphic is a nice little quality of life thing. Once again I wonder if it'll be in other modes. The old sideline interview graphic is really, really tired.

That perk/personality screen is kinda busy looking. I wonder if there's a simpler way to display it. I find myself not knowing exactly what I should be looking at.

I don’t like being forced to use perks. I’m not interested in challenges that will allow me to unlock a form of cheats.

I think you can just not equip perks if you don't want them. I don't believe you are forced

I've never used perks in my RTTS. It's not forced upon you

It would be cool if you picked Mr Utility and they moved you to different positions more often. Learning a lot of different positions

I liked everything I heard. Seem like great additions. I also learned how to switch back to your old position in rtts

The one thing that kills Road to The Show for me every year, although it might sound petty to some, is the fact that you lose your jersey number over and over throughout the year.

Anytime your team acquires a player with a similar number (and ratings don't matter) you are moved to the next highest number. I just can't handle it. I can't believe it's been in the game forever, too. Especially considering you look at the back of your player (75% of the time).

To be honest I didn’t play really with RTTS mode ( franchise only) but I’m temptated to give it a serious try this year ( Franchise will still be my #1 pet).

I know some perks are like locked ...was curious if it’s something to attract you to the card system then stubs then $$$

By your ratings - you had to have certain ones above thresholds to equip/use the perks.

I am looking forward to carrying my MLBTS 17 (1987 full minors roster BTW) RTTS player to 19. I was actually drafted by the Yankees as a 3B and was moved to RF to be a team player, had a fantastic rookie season at AA was promoted to AAA (playing with guys like Deion Sanders, Jim Leyritz, Hal Morris etc). Did not touch it on 18.

This looks vastly improved. Looking forward to the stream this afternoon.

It never even freaking occurred to me to use retro rosters for RTTS, thats brilliant!!!! OMG time to hit the vaults!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
