I know this way out of line by not posting arguments about franchise, but I'm going to take a stab at staying on topic.

I absolutely LOVE the changes they're talking about. I am a mostly DD player, but also franchise to break it up. Getting rid of exchanges with souvenirs alone is enough to suck my right back in after hating DD after 2 months last year.

These changes might keep me into DD longer this year. Last year was my first dive into DD and while I enjoyed it for the first couple months simply because it was new for me, once the feeling of the grind kicked in, I resorted back to playing just franchise. Looks like their keeping and improving what makes the mode fun, and scrapping what made it such a grindfest.
