Being able to import a player into franchise would be huge, Cant tell you how frustrating it is to find a player that has been called up in real life and isnt on the OSFM roster


Kind of a personal preference, but having the option to have a 6 man rotation, Closer by committee, or selecting an "opener" for one of your rotation slots.


I know they said it wont happen for this year, but being able to have rain outs and schedule doubleheaders would be another great addition



In other words just make the entire mode as realistic as possible!!!!

I would prefer them fixing what is broken (morale, roster management etc.)

Without the correct basics there is no point in piling stuff on top imo.

After that is done the one feature I want the most is historical stats and records. As stat heavy of a sport MLB is The Show is quite an insult to this aspect of the sport.

So incredibly very true. Features introduced abd they don’t even impact the game on the field. Until a rival Baseball game is introduced. I do see the changes. Those sales will start to dwindle. PS5 cant save them only way is a complete rewrite.

Manager Creator / Editor would be great. I thought the Manager AI, especially when it came to the bullpen was really bad in 2018.

As a MoM guy I really would like just a few things fixed.

1) Manager AI

2) There were no in game injuries when playing MoM. It looks like a bug that creeped into the game in 2018. No matter where you put the injury slider no one got hurt unless you simmed games. (Which I don't do).

3) Rain delays did not work either.

I don't this that is asking for much. Just fine tune some things and lets go.

Only one? Kind of tough to single out one problem that is in the most need of solving.

Gun to my head though, I'd probably go with fixing regression. That's much more personal, as roster expansion is probably the more universally needed fix, but seeing Mike Trout just melting at 28 is far to frustrating IMO.

Seriously though, even just 10 more roster spots would make a massive difference in franchise, allowing for more realistic injury rates and a much less restrictive trade and team-building system.

There are far, far to many important issues that need solving in Franchise though for there to be just one. Franchise is in desperate need of some serious attention.

Offer roster control in Franchise.
The ability to pick up new legendary players every year.
Ability to import players.
Unlimited create a player and edit player all in franchise.
Simple request when you pick a number for a Jersey that number sticks.
We put a lot of tender loving care in our created players and to see Roy Campanella with number 40 is like a sharp stick in the eye.
Offer two franchises one regular franchise and the other legendary franchise.
Open up legendary franchise give us complete control.
Offer some candy like baggy uniforms coaches and managers that we can create.
More audio names. More retro uniforms.
Relocation of franchises.
Ability to create stadiums. This could be a good fit for PlayStation 5.
I'm getting excited thinking about it dreams are the beginning of reality.

Have “cut” days at points toward the end of spring where a certain number of players are sent to the minors each time until you have 25 players on the roster right at the end.

Team personalities. It's honestly a bit ridiculous that in 2019 the only baseball game doesn't do anything to distinguish between the New York Yankees and the Tampa Bay Rays. Every team is exactly the same, only dictated by their starting payroll and current team.

Make teams different, make the game more varied and interesting

For me it would have to be a robust, deep and immersive scouting system.

Only one... soooo many good things in this thread. Kind of sad since they had all of that in MVP 05, but in-depth business options to manage your budget :

-Fixing ticket prices
-Choosing bubblehead/promotion nights when playing unpopular teams
-Upgrading your stadium (your bathrooms are falling apart, fix them!!)
-Renovate training rooms for your players so they perform better
-Many more similar things

Wow, this thread is teeming with great ideas. Love the spring training stuff, the day to day budget stuff, all of it.

Has additional lower levels been mentioned yet? There’s no full A ball as of now, and in real life there’s High A, Low A, two Rookie Ball levels, extended spring training, and instructional leagues. This would honestly make me feel like I’m managing a real organization.
