What are you doing first?

With 1 week to go leading up to MLB 19 The Show, I’m curious what everyone does as soon as their game loads up.

I like to look at rosters, batting stances, home run celebrations, equipment, face scans, ratings. Then I play an exhibition game of Mets vs Yankees.

I’ll probably then check out the Moments see what they’re like.

What do you all do/will be doing?

Trying to Lead my Braves to the Promiseland of the WS...and rebuild the Mariners. Those are the do to items this year.

Are you me? I've been having a dilemma about whether to use the Braves or Mariners first in franchise. I have some tentative plans for both. But the first thing I plan on doing is looking at rosters/ratings for a bit. After that I'll probably mess around in batting practice. Then comes my annual tradition of Braves/Mets to officially kick things off. 6 more days...can't come fast enough.

Look at my teams ratings and players and then Play an exhibition game just to see how it is. Then begin the exporting and importing of players from last years game into my set. At least just my teams to start.

I signed Harper in my franchise so I’m actually going to do a carry over franchise for the first time.

First thing I’m going to do is check edit player options. I hope they added mini dreads so I can actually get Vlad to somewhat resemble himself.

I always start with an exhibition game between the Cards and Cubs at Busch Stadium. It is also a test of how rusty I am and whether hitting has changed significantly for me.

After that depending on how tired I am I may open any pre-order packs and see how my initial DD team looks.

After that??? I am torn. Options are start on the first program, grab all the Cardinal cards I can and work on team affinity while playing conquest. Or maybe even starting March to October right away.

Who knows when I will even find time for RTTS.

Open all the stuff that comes with the Digital Deluxe edition. Then probably go right into an exhibition between the Yankees and Red Sox. After that I’ll start up March to October. Then finish the night by setting my DD lineup and starting Conquest.

This year is going to be different. We will dive right into March To October with the NYY on HOF. It will be refreshing just to pop the game in...install it and go right into a mode. Also jam some Diamond Dynasty mode offline and get my initial squad set up.

Of course I will get my gameplay/audio/video/clean screen settings in line.

Concurrently we will start a test franchise and work on sliders for the community as always. I don't expect it to take too long at all.

We will be streaming all next week our initial Yankees March To October run and slider test games.

I also love (yes I actually enjoy this) setting up my SOTS MP3 files. Setting all the file marks...and then we go ahead and complete the A.L. East first as always. And then add each team as I play them.

I will also transfer all my franchise files from 18 and dive into all of them (all in year 3)

Transfer over all the classic roster franchise files too of course.

It is Christmas in March every year!

I typically remove my hat, bow my head, and take a few moments of silence for the previous version out of respect for the joy it has brought me but is now a coaster.

This year is going to be different. We will dive right into March To October with the NYY on HOF.

Wish I was good enough to play March to October on HOF and still have it be enjoyable instead of frustrating. It will hurt leaving rewards on the table, especially the final player card you get for winning on that level.

Carryover franchise. Check out the roster to see how many players have disappeared off each team and create them back into game.

I’m going to test drive this baby to see what’s changed with hitting and pitching to find my comfort zone. That way I avoid “....it’s broken”....then l’m gonna poop and pee as it’s probably gonna be zero dark thirty when I wake up. Okay, maybe too much info there, but probably not alone.
